The phrase 'elephant in the room' does not mean 'something made up that noone is aware of'.
That would be "a wyvern on the dark side of the moon"

Well how can they have an opinion on a show they're not watching?

By having a reason for not watching it.
By having a reason for not watching it..
Is that really an elephant in the room then? I saw the comments regarding Mount's tweets and that's about it.I ran into the rumor first on youtube then I see it was brought up in the threads here on Monday and Wednesday.
Choosing not to watch a show is fine. And it validates their opinion as long as they watch the show. Any episodes that air after that point, they really lose the right to comment on.
I've got no problem with people not enjoying a show and commenting on it (even though I question the logic of watching something you don't enjoy). But after that point? I don't understand how you can have an informed opinion outside of: "I chose to stop watching because I didn't enjoy the way it was going."
I don't like Harley Davidsons, but I am a motorcyclist, daily rider, and I like forums. I should join a Harley forum and post about how awful they are and this rumor I heard that the company is going toes up.

These rumors cycle all the time. I'm not holding my breath on their veracity.
Nerdrotic also indicates he has spoken to two insiders. One of the insiders told him that the show is undergoing reshoots, but CBS is not paying for it. His insider explains that J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot is paying for the reshoots. And the reason CBS isn’t paying is because the second season is allegedly costing updwards of $150 million. The insider would definitely declare that Star Trek: Discovery is “dead.”
However, Nerdrotic’s second source indicates that a decision has not been made regarding whether or not CBS will renew Star Trek: Discovery for a third season.

Why do people reply to obviously BS thread topics?
If no-one had responded to this lunacy, it would've fallen down the Page count and been lost in the ether.
And people wonder why I put so little stock in to YT.Yup---still going on I believe.
