Things that frustrate us all

At work we serve this huge Moscow mules that come with a bunch of straws, they’re like 80oz. One of the college kids that came in ordered it and then stole the mule mug when they left. It’s about $75. My boss is pissed and this pretty much falls on me because I was the one who served them.

I really don’t know who’s raising these kids, but it makes me actively root against Villanova basketball.

Are you supposed to monitor them and grab the glass as soon as they've finished? - I guess if you did, your boss would complain that either you're not doing any of your other work and/or annoying the customer:(

Still, I'd never think of pinching glasses/mugs etc from the pub.

Apparently we’re supposed to hold their card until we get it back, but no one ever told me that. It was also chaos in there last night and we had a bouncer, who should have saw someone leave with it.

I have one of those jobs where you can be doing something really wrong and not know it, it happens every shift and it’s really frustrating. My coworker has been bartending for 15 years and even he didn’t know we were supposed to do that.

If they expect me to pay for it I’m gonna go ballistic.

If the boss didn't tell you about it and the other bartender didn't know then you shouldn't pay for it. If I were expected to pay for something like that it would really steam my shorts.

What happened? Was it at a raid or was it a research reward?
Research “reward.” Some kind of legendary with what must be an OBSCENELY low capture rate, as I have burned 30 Ultra Balls and 20 Great Balls and I dunno how many berries on it and still have failed to catch it.

Dang. I generally use Gold/Silver berries (Usually Golden Razzberries, or Silver Pinaps) to help with that. Can relate though. It takes a lot sometimes. RNG can be a pain. Even with the help. Have you been able to get Nice or Great throws? (That doesn't help a ton either, but it's another thing that can help with the catch rate.) And I try to keep an eye on the Pokemon's taunts. I try to throw after one and before they try to taunt again.

I've run into a non catch situation with Giratina. No matter what I did, it ended up running on me. And that sucks, given that there are hardly any raids in my area that get people in them. :(

I’ve waited all day to watch Discovery, and yesterday’s new Death in Paradise, but the kids have another hour before bed time. Dang.

I finally did catch the stinker. With a Great Ball on a Great throw, with my last razz.
But yeah, it was really frustrating because I even had a run of Excellent throws with Ultra Balls using razzes, and nothing.
Obviously the mechanic is set up to burn through higher level balls and berries, but it doesn’t need to be that blatant.

Dang. Glad you were finally able to do so. Which one did you catch?

Wow. Yea that's a set up if I ever saw one.

Definitely. They just want people to spend, spend, spend.

I ran into issues with Moltres recently as well. Thankfully not too much.

Working on stocking up on Pokeballs, Great balls and Ultra balls again to get ready for community day and so on. Thank Arceus for friends gifts. It's a great help during the winter months.

A summer memory:

When you're trying to have a quiet picnic in nature with your loved one(s) and some ***s start shooting at animals in the woods nearby... One of their dogs that was really stupid kept attempting to move toward us while being called back by its owner. What a piece of work! I saw them later (the hunters), two of them looked like they had had a few glasses of wine too many. None of them looked like they were in any danger of being awarded a Nobel Prize.

Something that bugs me in a lot of crime procedurals is when they laze out on the murder scene in the start, and write the victim like they have no survival instinct at all.

Somebody pulls out a gun and they just stand there and say "What are you doing, what is that, no, please!" I know that scene is there just to set the episode up, but at least immerse me, make the victim seem like a human trying not to die.

Maybe it's because most people are not used to have guns pointed at them and they're sort of paralyzed by fear and incredulity, just to be the devil's advocate.;)

I hate it when airlines fuck around with your schedule for no reason.

It's made me so paranoid that for my upcoming trips this summer, I check the reservations every day for fear that United will screw with them.

The reason I'm so worried about this is because oftentimes they will decrease the amount of time you have for a layover, so you're at increased risk of missing your connecting flight. Last year I had a nonstop flight from Newark to Omaha get changed to one that had a 50 minute layover in Chicago. Oh yeah, a layover of less than an hour, AT O'HARE? :guffaw:

(Fortunately, after some tense Twitter DMs, I got them to change it again, so I got a 3-hour layover in Denver. But why the hell did they have to make me do this in the first place? :sigh: )

I hate it when people who know nothing about wine come to dinner with a bottle of something that barely upgrades from vinegar!! I just can't find the appropriate time to open their bottle... before dinner... it will ruin the palate for dinner... after dinner, it will make an enjoyable experience much less enjoyable... So my tactic is to make it seem like I had the intention to open it at one point and then forgot about it. Some obstinate people don't make that tactic easy though... as they keep reminding you about their vintage vino... Sigh!!!
