Things that frustrate us all

I love it when it snows. That means it's not quite as cold as it was the previous day and also means I can wear just a sweatchirt rather than a big ol' coat.

My frustration today:

I'm discovering that I can no longer even wiggle my toes on my right foot and I never will be able to again.

One of the things my surgeon suggested after seeing the state of my remaining four toes on my right foot was that he snip the tendons on those toes. They were hammering.

I used to be able to pick up objects with my toes on both feet (yes, finger toes). Now, they're useless!

Sorry to hear that but the sooner you'll get used to that the better. I did with my tinnitus, I'll be hearing them forever.

that's rather drastic! Usually, when toes start to hammer, you get inlays for your shoes. Only if there's really no other chance at all, a surgery is performed by mending the source of the problem (i.e. the position of the metatarsal bones is corrected). Since with snipped tendeons the toes get limp and uncontrollable, the risk of injuries multiplies which is quite counter-productive with diabetic foot syndrome.

You will have to check your feet for injuries even more carefully now every day to prevent further amputations.

Ah. Wonderful.

Tinnitus is more than familiar to me, as well. Less so now that I'm not taking as many psych meds, but it's still a thing.

Sure snow is very pretty to look at but I find it loses its appeal the moment I have to out and drive in it.

Today I got banned from FB for 30 days for calling an attention-seeking troll an attention-seeking troll. He apparently went crying to mommy, claiming he was being harassed.

Fucking stupid FB.

oooh! A fellow OOTS-fan! =)

It's so annoying when you need info from a third party and while they usually are always there you can bet that they take a 4-day-weekend the instant you really need them.

(also annoying: it's already a full month since Christmas! Why does time go so fast nowadays? When I was a kid, days lasted so much longer!)

Sore backs and nausea.

I don't remember the last time I was able to crack my back. I miss having that ability!

When you're sick and you've still got to work. I was thinking of taking tomorrow off, but an important meeting got pushed back to tomorrow and I'll have to be online for it. And it's another video call, so that means getting dressed and putting on makeup.

I’m sorry Mary. :(

We’re in the same boat.

Unfortunately I have work tonight too. What I thought was a hangover has turned into a full on cold.

We must always remember the tissues that were lost today. They gave their lives for our sniffles.

I hope you're both able to feel better, soon!

I just got a call from my foot surgeon's office that said my test results came back...I still have a chronic bone infection and need to get back on those stupid, stupid antibiotics. :censored:

Sorry guys. I hope you feel better soon.
