The only way they could be as important as Spock is if Klaang was an ancestor of Morgh (the Klingon shot in the pilot episode of ENT and taken back to Kronos). There's also Worf's ancestor who's Kirk and Bone's defender...

Well, Star Trek is the story of Spock's family obviously![]()
I believe so about T'Pau, but I believe Jolene as expressed a desire to not be in Star Trek anymore.Wait, it isn't?
(It is, of course. Wasn't T'Pol originally supposed to be T'Pau? Glad she wasn't, and I'd love to see her elderly self on Disco someday as a living Easter egg. Although I doubt Jolene would come back for the role...)
Didn't she retire?
to be fair, we don't know that yet, with only one episode of S2 and only an idea of what season 2 is about. I mean, I agree with the rest of your statement, but that specific assumption is premature. The Klingon War and the Mirror Universe fit the tone of S1 better than they would've S2.
If they retire, who'll play the old people? Young people in make-up? That always looks fake.
Well, I'm not going to lie... T'Pol's probably the only character who'd still be alive and, since I'm not a fan of ENT, I'm not exactly chomping at the bit to see anyone from that series. And since it's the only series that takes place before DSC, I think we're good.
But, otherwise, yeah. You end up with results like Peter Weyland in Prometheus.

They did a pretty convincing job aging Mahershala Ali in the new season of True Detective. It's some of the best old age makeup I've ever seen. But, otherwise, yeah. You end up with results like Peter Weyland in Prometheus.
Depends on who is doing the make up.If they retire, who'll play the old people? Young people in make-up? That always looks fake.
Blalock retired but not fully. She must still have SOME interest in acting as she does still occasionally show up in things, just not very successful things. If she was willing to do a TV-movie for Pixl channel, hard to imagine she'd say no to CBS money, if they really wanted her on the show for a one-off appearance.Yes, she married well and retired. (I envy her -- getting ready to go to work tomorrow!)

I just don't see it happening, beyond a name drop about T'Pol some time.
I think it's one of those things that has done better in the years since. Anyway I like it quite a bit (just not that first season.. but ENT is not alone in that regard)ENT wasn't exactly an unmitigated success... So she had a good start.

I don't know many shows that are successes without mitigation, but I thought she did a very good job with her character, even if she had to work around things that might have otherwise limited her.
