3D interiors in Blender

Briefly touching on the Potemkin, I decided to swap the Prometheus-style aft area for a proper MSD. This is mostly done out of repurposed LCARS elements though, as I plan on finishing up with this fun diversion sooner rather than later to finally start working on the transporter room.

Going back to the actual work, here are the finished renders for the battle bridge. ;)

Given the low light these took a long while, enjoy!

@Schimpfy: Interesting! That could certainly be a possibility now that you mention it...

I think I'm done with the Potemkin, though I might tinker with the colors and details a bit more. The LCARS in particular, I feel like I haven't completely pinned the Righteous colors.

I don't know. I think you've nailed them pretty well from the game.

And now all I can hear is Q mocking me spitting out 'The Righteous' and how I couldn't save dear old dad lol.

I would assume that the graphics from First Contact would have been used for the Righteous, both were released within weeks of each other, The Righteous bridge was redress of the excelsior bridge that was built for Flashback (on a shoestring budget) And likely used the consoles that were built for First Contact anyways.

Maybe the keyboards are from FC, but the console prints are definitely different. They most likely used the FC graphics but the arrangements are unique as they don't have the metallic tape elements the Ent-E had in the film. Besides, it's hard to see, but several of the screens do have Excelsior outlines, so at least some of them were custom made for the game. Not to mention the MSD that is quite unique.

Keep in mind that the bridge was repainted, and several sets were heavily redressed (like the borg cube interior or the Enterprise-E jefferies junction) so they did have a substantial budget for the sets.

Here are the final renders for the Potemkin, I did end up changing the LCARS juuuust slightly. Enjoy!

sweet! Looks alot better than the Excellsior bridge that had them packed like sardines with 2 at each station.
Still don't like the TNG helm and com stations in there, i know its tng timeframe, just looks wrong :)
Looking good!

Last update of the day. The pad itself is now almost done, only missing some white tape around it.

Things are very red yellowy now because most lights are either behind the yellowish back graphic or above the transporter emitters. As said previously, lights will be tweaked later.

FYI, the lighting changes considerably from the first season and the later seasons. I seriously suggest you take a page from S1 set-lighting when doing your final renders.
I'm sure you already have your refs, but S6 Realm of Fear features the transporter set in nearly every other scene.

@Schimpfy: Thanks! :)

@137th Gebirg: Hahaha, I'm glad you think that!

@MiKaTrek: Thanks very much :)

@Jedman67: Indeed, I have a pile of shots from 'Realm of Fear' ready haha. This is supposed to be the transporter room as it looked like in the mid 2360's, so I'm aiming for late TNG here. :)

I've been working on the normal maps needed to get the acoustic panels used all over the room to look good. Still not 100% there, but they're getting there.

Have you considered using displacement maps for those Sonex panels?
