Was this scene ever actually filmed for First Contact?

I heard about a scene from the script where Sisko actually appears in the movie! I forgot what happened exactly in this supposed scene but IIRC I think he talks to Worf on the Defiant's viewscreen before Worf hauls ass over to earth to fight the Borg.

Was this ever actually filmed but then deleted?

Never heard of that. Do you have a source?

There's no mention of it in Memory Alpha's deleted scenes page. If there ever was such a scene in the script, I doubt it was filmed. Presumably the reason there were no DS9 characters in the film other than Worf was so they wouldn't have to pay the actors, and if Avery Brooks had filmed the scene, he would've still been paid even if it was cut. So it strikes me as the sort of thing that would've been dropped before filming, not after.

Just heard it over the years from some people, but I never knew if it was true.

Ah OK! I guess it really was just a scene in the script that was never filmed.

That would be my best guess, if the scene as described really existed at all, but I can't say it for a fact.

The story I heard was that there was a brief scene of Sisko and Worf walking through the stations, providing exposition on the situation. They get to an airlock, Worf goes through and boards the Defiant and Sisko wanders off camera.

But yeah, this was from one of the earliest drafts of the script and was removed well before they got anywhere near the filming draft.

Honestly, it sounds made-up by a fan because they want to connect the dots, or someone confused the DS9 crossover with the scrapped Quark scene from Insurrection.

This is what I've heard over the years, too, that there was a short Sisko scene scripted to explain why he's not on the Defiant. But there's no point to such a scene; it doesn't move the characters forward and it doesn't move the plot forward.

Possibly, but certainly not a draft late enough for the scene to make it into the novelization, and not early enough to be in the first draft. (Draft #1 doesn't even bother re-introducing Worf, he's just there at his station like always.)
