I would imagine that he'll probably be just as 'laid back' as he appeared in TOS.

He never came across as laid back to me in "The Cage". Now, if you're talking about Wheelchair Pike in "The Menagerie", we're in trouble!

saru has my vote, but i like that the series is (ostensibly) set from the POV of a non-captain.

either way, i really hope the show stops playing game of thrones with the captain's chair and settles into its identity. unless that is its identity...
