Can't you see that Luke gives a force kick? ;)
Does that mean this guy is force brushing? :)

Well we know the fate of the chap. Without that we could have assumed he lived all the way through the original trilogy.
I know the fate of lots of characters in fiction. It isn't the destination but the journey and the characters that make it worthwhile. Otherwise, Titanic would have been a total flop, and we wouldn't have a billion and one Romeo and Juliet remakes. And prequels would be a completely nothing genre.

Also, as much as I like the reveal in Solo, I do not want to lose that scene from Rebels. That is one of the most Star Wars scenes ever made.

Even though we know where the character's story ends, I'm still very interested to see how he goes from where is in Solo to where he is in Rebels. I'm a lot more interested now than I would have been if we hadn't gotten one of those appearances.

Same here. The fact that we know the end doesn't take away from the character's journey or his struggle to come back to significance on the galactic stage. I mean, he has a whole criminal organization at his finger tips. Imagine him using it as a tool to harvest Sith artifacts ahead of Palpatine.

Knowing Maul dies about a year before ANH did not stop me from damn near jumping out of my seat when he showed up in Solo. Even knowing how he ends up loosing everything (again!) just makes me even more curious as to what transpired between 'Solo' & 'Twilight of the Apprentice'. Did Qi'ra have a hand in his downfall? Did she pay for it with her life or did she finally escape the life?

I know Ahsoka and Rex survived the Siege of Mandalore, Order 66 and that Maul slipped through their fingers somehow, but that doesn't make me any less excited to see the final episode of TCW next year.

To me, knowing how a story ends only ruins it if it's a mystery story or the ending has some sort of major twist you're not supposed to see coming. Maul was never going to have a happy ending, so even without Rebels or TCW and he only showed up in Solo, we'd still be fairly certain that at some point, he'd be taken out of the picture prior to the OT, no?

I've never understood why some people think that knowing a character's fate suddenly ruins every future stories before whatever it is happens to them. It can still be interesting to see how the character ended up at that point, and even if the story doesn't directly tie into that I can still enjoy it even though I know how the character will eventually end up. Even if you know the character won't die, there's still plenty of interesting things you can do with them, and other ways to build up excitement.

Indeed. It also confounds me when people say things like "there's no drama if I know the characters survive." After all, in the majority of television the main characters are almost never killed without advanced notice. Even shows that do make a habit of killing their regulars will only do so in certain episodes (typically premiere, finales, and midseason stories). And in some cases, certain characters getting killed off will generate advanced buzz, like with Rick leaving Walking Dead next season. Doesn't destroy the drama one bit.

Certainly in special cases foreknowledge of a character's fate can spoil a story, but, yeah, it's not something that holds general validity, as far as I'm concerned.

Also, I find the idea that we'd be better off without good Star Wars to be a peculiar notion, to say the least.

Since it doesn't seem like we're going to get a Solo sequel (unfortunately), I hope they do a novel or a comic showing how Maul got from where he was at the end of Solo to where he was when he made his first appearance in Rebels.

It hurt at least one user here, I don't remember who.
Sure, I remember that, too, though I'm also not sure of the username. But I was speaking of at the box office, meaning there were a slew of factors that hurt the film much more.
