I was listening to the Full of Sith podcast and its Hosts (two of whom I have had the pleasure of meeting) were quick to dispel - based on their intimate knowledge of the franchise's inner workings gleaned from "insider access" to the creators and the creative process behind the scenes - the notion that Solo is going to be a "loss" for Lucasfilm in the long run
I will now blame you for turning me on to yet another Star Wars podcast

I'd pay to see another one of these, but I guess not.
I'm not all that enthusiastic about the main-line SW films and haven't really been since The Phanton Menace.
The way some people act, every hero in every story ever is a Mary Sue.
I have to give credit to both Clone Wars, Rebels, and Solo for increasing my interest in Maul even more than before, and that's with how much fun he is to play in Battlefront II.
The work Clone Wars and Rebels did with Maul gives me hope Resistance can do something with Phasma or Hux and make them interesting.
Mileage will vary. I enjoyed both of them and found them interesting. Far more interesting than Boba Fett and his unearned fame.

I absolutely loved the visual design and ‘period piece’ visual styling they accomplished in the movie.

There's no need to argue. They are all over-rated and un-interesting. And both Fett and Phasma went down like punks.
