"Vaulting Ambition" - Star Trek: Discovery

Pretty "meh" outside the Stamets/Spore stuff. I get it that the Mirror universe is "evvvvuuuulllllllll!"

Nice bit of set dressing: when Stamets and his Mirror counterpart rush into the Spore Engineering inside his mind, the little plaque next to the door reads "USS Stamets" instead of "USS Discovery".

DS9 "Honor Among Thieves" on H&I.
Liked seeing Nick Tate. Big fan of "Space: 1999". Other than that it was a waste of time.
ENT "Home" on H&I.
Liked the Vulcan sequences. Vulcans have Capri pants? Weird.

I have no interest or compulsion to watch Discovery. Only watched the free pilot episode.

Captain's Holiday. Fun story, but the Risa sets are pretty bogus. It looks like they're vacationing in my back yard.

Kor

DS9 "Change of Heart" on H&I.
If Dax was loosing that much blood, then why didn't Worf try to close up the wound?
ENT "Borderland" on H&I.
I assume that once Soong is back in prison, that he spends the rest of his life there. So when does he have time to have offspring?

TNG Thine Own Self - How is it that Troi (or Crusher for that matter), an "officer" with no command experience can pass a test, become a commander, and then out rank Data. It really makes zero sense.

They should've introduced a third female character that was in the actual chain of command, instead of shoe-horning Crusher and Troi into it.

Part 1 of the Buck Rogers in the 25th Century pilot episode, "Awakening" last Saturday night (September 8th), since MeTV has apparently taken TOS off their schedule.:shrug:And there I was at 10:59pm, wondering if they'd show "Man Trap"...

I actually found myself enjoying Buck Rogers, dangit, some holdover fondness from my early teen years I guess.

Which sucks for those of us who don't get H&I.

All episodes of all the series are on pretty much every major streaming platform. Hulu, Amazon Prime, Netflix. Though I protect myself from them being removed by buying the physical media of things that are important to me. Especially, the original Star Trek.

I've been considering Netflix. Otherwise I'd have to go hunt down all my old 'taped off of TV' VHS tapes.

In the Pale Moonlight (DS9)

Sometimes I just want to rewatch a classic episode. Garak and Sisko are always great, and they are especially amazing in this episode.

Yes, and I have Amazon Prime for example, but it's just not the same as watching it "live". ;)

Obviously I'm kidding (the MeTV episodes were terribly cut for time anyway), but it's true that I had a problem when my wife decided to drop our cable - even though I can watch any available movie on the pay movie channels we subscribe to that I want, deciding what to watch at any given moment is like how I felt going to a Blockbuster store back in the day.
