If I were to put money on it, with Moonves out the merger will be on in some form. He was fighting tooth and nail to stop it.

All that really matters to Star Trek is that Paramount Pictures, the film library and the rights to future film productions comes back.

Well... I suppose that's enough time to get Star Trek 4, two more seasons of Discovery and the Picard and Reliant show out. It might be a really good time to let the new era of Star Trek get its legs and then figure out where the new movie productions fit in.

I prefer someone who does a good job. Interest in Star Trek is a secondary or tertiary bonus, not a requirement.
