Disney fires James Gunn from "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3"

I find all of this ridiculous because Gunn got into trouble over these very same tweets years ago. He publicly apologized and Disney allowed him to do "Guardians of the Galaxy". The same material is exposed six years later and this time, he's punished for it, despite the apology he had made and the fact that he had ceased such behavior after his original apology.

Normally she does this when faulting any liberal on autopilot without the application of critical thinking because she thinks it makes her appear heroic to defend the conservative underdog. On this occasion she seems to have sold herself short and got mixed up, what with RDJ being pretty ambiguous in his politics compared to Gunn's open left wing attitudes.

Times are different now. If this came back up last year nothing would have happed.

Damn shame, guys got talent and he's been kicked off movies that would've stunk without him.

Damn. I was really hoping they'd come to their senses. At least he probably won't have to look to hard for his next gig.

The downside of an end credits scene is studio's sometimes don't have everything set in stone. Things might turn out differently than what they planned.

I'm mainly talking about the Adam Warlock end credits scene for .Vol 2

Obviously he was going to be featured soon. Most likely .Vol 3.

If they go that route do they have to credit James Gunn? Or will the script with Adam Warlock be set aside for a new "James Gunn less" version?

Gunn has specifically said that Adam Warlock was going to be in his version of GoTG V3, but since no one was cast yet, it would be pretty easy for the new director to change that.

Eh, Marvel can always hire someone to crap out one of their blockbusters on schedule. It's too bad; the GOTG movies were fun.

Looks like DC has a new star director they can get hold of. Could you imagine a Superman movie staring Chris Pratt. Or another character that better suits them.

Adam Warlock... I wonder if they will get the same actor to play Goddess?

Adam's female aspect, run amok in the real world, after he purged himself of sexuality.

So a pile of garbage masquerading as news.

No, it's a pile of shit masquerading as "news".

The last time I read about Adam's female counterpart, she was called "Her", and IIRC she was still looking for Adam unaware that he had died. I think this was a Marvel-2-in-1 from the early 80's.

Adam should've stayed dead at the end of Starlin's classic run. Unfortunately, to keep the copyrights and trademarks, they have to bring the character back every so often. Shame, because what little I've seen of post 70's Warlock has been utter shit.

Didn't he purge himself of all good and evil?

Different female counterpart, "Her" (also known as Ayesha and Kismet) was created the same way Warlock was, by evil scientists of The Hive, while the Goddess is the good aspects of Warlock that he purged from himself after acquiring the Infinity Gauntlet (along with the bad aspects that formed a new Magus)

Agreed that Marvel Two-in-One Annual 2 should have been the end for both Warlock and Thanos. As epic as Infinity Gauntlet (but not it's sequels) was, Starlin peaked with both characters in that issue.

Worth noting that the MCU's version of Her/Ayesha/Kismet was seen in GotGv2.

The worst thing is that the people who made it into an issue weren't really upset. They were a group of alt-right white nationalist trolls mad at Gunn because he was liberal and very much against the alt-right and other dangerous groups. This was politically motivated and a dangerous precedent, this will happen again.
