ETA: Just grabbed the first one I saw, then realized that link doesn't show both pictures. This one does: http://boundingintocomics.com/2018/...mes-gunn-at-to-catch-a-predator-themed-party/
Their is no proof that this was a "Catch a Predator" theme party. The person who makes the tweet says it is but nothing in the photo's proves it. What does a rabbit and a clown have to do with that show or whatever that person in the red shirt is wearing?.
Plus wasn't that show about busting pedophiles and the show itself has been a source of humor as well for years.
Another thing it's proably no accident that this shows up when Disney is thinking about re-hiring him or going with his script. Somebody has been sitting on this photo waiting for the best time to release it from a strategic point-of-view.

And Prince Harry rightly got pasted to the wall for wearing that Nazi uniform. But he also didn't have thousands of tweets about Nazis in addition to wearing the uniform at a Halloween party. James Gunn is obviously preoccupied with the subject of pedophilia, whether he is a pedophile or not. He's been pasted to the wall, rightly. He's lost his job at Disney (rightly, in my opinion, given Disney's cultivated image). And these photos didn't come FROM Breitbart...they were Gunn's photos that some guy on Twitter found (Breitbart is twisting the narrative as a "pedo party", which is obviously incendiary). But honestly, given the tweets and this, it wouldn't surprise me if there was more of this out there.
It’s obvious to me there are people on the internet are trying to create a narrative about someone that people are willing to believe.
It's Gunn's behavior that has made that narrative plausible.
I don't know what we're supposed to make of the fact that people are talking about what these pictures do or do not show, yet nobody is posting links to them, or even links to links to them.
Well observed. No one dresses as a priest for some reference to the pedophile scandal from the Catholic church, and posts near endless "jokes" about pedophilia and rape online unless its an obsession. This is no guy trying to fight against pedophilia by exposing behavior (that needs no introduction as its a global crisis)--he's interested in it.
But I see some are still willing to ignore this pattern and try to attack or dismiss the photos based on source. No one made Gunn do any of this--the tweets, the party--any of it. Its all his choice and interest.
It's Gunn's behavior that has made that narrative plausible.
A few years back for Jackson = almost 30 years back he was in his mid 20s.
IDK - It's admittedly a dark type of humor, but I also don't know if him going to a themed party like that makes him any more 'obsessed' about the material than anyone who may have routinely watched "To Catch A Predator" on MSNBC from 2004 - 2007. That's like saying anyone who goes to a Halloween party dressed as a serial killer must somehow want to be a serial killer.I already said above that it doesn't make him a pedophile...but the pattern of behavior here is disturbing. Besides, are you seriously comparing joking about Trump with joking about pedophilia? How is that even a valid comparison in any universe?
From others who seem to think preying on children is just a knee-slapper to end them all.
Couldn't this obsession be addressed towards the people who are trying to expose Gunn and make him into a pedophile though.
I think history has shown some of the biggest moral cops have a history of being guilty of the very things they are trying in theory to bring down. Usually more guilty than the people they are trying to bring down. Typical witchhunt type of stuff or McCarthy's battle against the Red scare.
No matter who was behind the release of the tweets and the photos, the issue--the only issue is Gunn's beliefs/behavior that were all self-generated, and the "why" of his apparent interest in a public interest ("jokes") about pedophilia/rape should be brought forward, not defended with off-track privacy arguments, or have others run cover for him like Bautista.
