Big Brother 20

I was traveling last week so didn't see the episode, who did she thank? John Edwards, biggest douche in the universe 2002 pageant winner?

There's some decent people in there to root for. Faysal, the guy in the 'normal human' minority. I guess Bayleigh though she was just as unreasonable in that blowup. Tyler is smart player, Kacey is likable.

I think I'm rooting for Tyler and Faysal at this point. Tyler because he's the only one with a smart, proactive approach to strategy and is not insane in any way. Faysal, because he's the double minority, Muslim and Normal Human.

I didn't catch all the names, but she thanked Tony Robbins and Deepak Chopra. There were two or three other "guru" types.

Why does Sam have her hair and makeup like a 1950s movie star?

Edit: Or is she meant to be the We Can Do It woman?

Maybe she likes it? If you're referring to tonight's episode, it won't be on for over an hour yet, here.

Maybe she just likes it, but it’s the first time I’ve seen her dress that way, and usually if a person dresses like a famous poster she’s doing it for a specific reason.

Brett has the ‘pickup artist’ kind of charm that only works for a day.

I’m not getting Bayleigh now. Faysal offers an opinion about strategy. She goes to DR and says explicitly he has a good point. Then she goes back to him and says ‘NEVER contradict me!’ Even though she took his advice to heart.

It’s like she’s inwardly smart and rational but outwardly only acts directly on her sense of pride and need to be right.

I didn't actually notice what Sam was wearing. When I "watch" Big Brother, I'm mostly listening (so I do tend to miss the captioned stuff when they're whispering).

I've been taking part in Camp NaNoWriMo this month, so most of my attention is focused on writing, and with the deadline tonight, I wasn't paying that much attention to Big Brother last night.

As long as she was dressed so everything that has to be covered is and it's not something that makes her look like a stripper, I don't see why it would be a problem. There's a lot of stuff that goes on between the scenes they show on TV, so her reasons for dressing that way might have been explained elsewhere.

It's not a problem, just an interesting choice that could have an interesting reason.

Also I would not judge the women if they did choose to dress in a little less. Image positivity!

That was a weird series of events.

Tyler throws out Angela's name to try to get him not to nominate Angela. Bayleigh goes to Rachel with this, Rachel takes it seriously, goes to Angela and Kacey, who decide Rachel is lying, leading them to tell Tyler about the power, which stops him from using the veto.

I think at this point I'd like to see either of those two go. Brett's more of a jerk, but Rachel is dumb and annoying.

Bayleigh can go any time. So can Brett.

I don't even remember who Angela is.

At this point I'd be okay if Sam won. It's not that I really like her, it's that she's not as annoying as the others, or as invisible to me as some of them are.

It's amazing to me that Tyler keeps getting by. It is really reminiscent of Derrick's win in that they had some physical threats (Frankie, Caleb, Devin & Fessy, Brett, Angela), but no one could quite put a game together except for him. Tyler really hasn't had to do anything but plant bugs in people's ears.

I'm not a fan of Sam. She seems like a cool person IRL, but in the game she's one of those really angrily preachy ones who makes things personal.

Not sure I should say who is HoH because I didn't see the episode, looked it up on Wikipedia and don't know if you guys know yet. But I will say, it will make an interesting week power app-wise.

It's hard to say at this point in the game who is playing a good game, besides Tyler. In this game, in the early stages the best strategy is sometimes not to be noticed too much. So people like Kacey and Angela who did nothing but make a big alliance then hide behind things arguably have the best games in the house by now. No target on their backs, big circle of trust.

It's hard to size up people. I can say, Brett's game is bad and is just staying in at this point because his allies currently want him to win challenges for them, but that works against you later. Faysal's game is bad because he has no influence on his allies. Bayleigh's is bad because she failed Monty Python rule #1, do not be seen. JC it's hard to estimate his status because he has good social connections, is not considered to be an alliance member, but he's also made his profile a bit too high. Scottie's also, because he's in the exact same position as Ian and Steve were as the socially inept guy nobody ever gets threatened by and nobody ever gets pissed off at so he just drifts to the end. Hailey, right now she's in the crosshairs, but if Bayleigh and Faysal go out before she does, she falls way down everyone's hit list and becomes a free agent. Sam, also in a position where she's extremely unlikely to be targeted. No enemies, not seen as a threat, she could easily get to the end, then come out of nowhere and make some big moves at the very end to get the win.

Then Rockstar, she has no influence over anyone, no strong loyalty, no strategic game and no charm, she could last a while but I can't imagine her winning.

But except for Brett, Bay and Rockstar, I can imagine any of the other people possibly winning at this point.

I'll agree that she has said some preachy personal things that have upset and angered a couple of the other women. But I'm keeping in mind that there's a lot of things we don't get to see on the regular broadcast. Sam may be referring to other things we haven't seen (and also keep in mind that the houseguests never know what is going to be actually shown on TV).

I guess I'm still feeling a bit of sympathy over that robot stuff she had to go through. That's an awful thing to do to a contestant.

I don't like her. There are just so many admittedly superficial things about her that annoy me, but not that long ago she was ready to quit.

Admittedly, she was very angry and upset at Brett (who needs to go ASAP because he's extremely toxic - how many more throwing-people-under-the-bus-with-lies-when-on-the-block will it take before they finally get rid of him?).

But that's the time to dig one's heels in and stay, rather than quit.

Brett is under the mistaken impression that he's cool and charming, and has no clue that his behavior is inappropriate.

He's also lucky that this is Big Brother. If it was Survivor, he'd have been booted by this point, or at least it would have been tacitly agreed by the rest of the tribe that he would only be kept around until just before the merge.

Its obvious Rockstar doesn't want to be there anymore. Her and Haleigh need to leave so I can be less bored by their presence.

I'm surprised Bayleigh didn't use her power app.

I would be glad to see Rockstar leave but Haleigh is starting to become more interesting.

Bayleigh needs to leave. So does Brett.

I don't see how Sam could have thought her idea would work, for people to throw the competition to her.
