Big Brother 20

Yeah, I skipped that part. I have no idea who that woman is. I've never heard any song by her. I'm sure some of them really loved her and others didn't, but they were all told to say they love her.

Anyone think this is the Brigade season all over again? Level 6 is the Brigade, Brent is Matt, JC is Britney, Tyler is Hayden.

I don't remember that, so I'll take your word for it.

Honestly, unless they really stand out in some way, I tend to forget most of these people the moment the show is over.

At this point I'd be okay with anyone but Angela winning, and I don't think she can win in the final two against anyone.

At the end of this episode, Julie said "I'm Julie Chen Moonves".

I've never once heard her refer to herself by her full married name before, I wonder if that was a sneaky way for her to protest her husband's dismissal? Or is she worried about her job now and said that to make everyone feel like if she isn't brought back, that's why?

She used her married name last time, too. I wonder if she's doing it to lend him a bit of respectability, like a case of "Julie Chen is standing by her man, so he's really not as bad as everyone says."

This elimination makes me happy.

This leaves the best strategic player, the best challenge player, and the best social player. No matter what happens I can't be too sad.

I just realized that I missed Thursday's episode because for some reason I thought Thursday was Friday.

It doesn't appear that I missed anything significant other than the eviction of someone I didn't like anyway.

I guess at this point I'd prefer that Tyler win.

Survivor starts Wednesday; anyone know if/when the next season of Amazing Race starts?

So, spoilers based on the Wikipedia page.

Wikipedia lists JC as a nominee but no HoH, I assume that means the first two rounds were won by Tyler and Kaycee.

Either one is almost certain to bring the other so we can almost say for sure the final two is Tyler/Kaycee.

Hard to guess how jury will vote. I may or may not watch the finale. But either is equally deserving of the win.

I think Amazing Race is planned for only one cycle as midseason show.

Based on quick googling, filming already concluded and they are casting the following season. Season 31 of AR is exclusively people from previous seasons of Survivor, Big Brother and Amazing Race. You can guess a few probably, certain newly engaged people.

I thought that was an excellent season of Big Brother. The first two-thirds were really fun to watch, with the last third being a bit on the boring side, but still palatable. When Tyler got with Angela things slowed down a bit. I think that really hurt his game. In an alternate universe where he hadn't fallen for her, I wonder if he would have been more willing to cut Kaycee at some point. I feel like because he was close to Angela, and Angela and Kaycee were best buds, he was forced to stay connected to Kaycee as well. Maybe he would have stuck by Kaycee anyway, but it's interesting to think about.

Ultimately I'm okay with Tyler not winning, even though I think he played better than Kaycee. He made some sloppy mistakes near the end of the game. Obviously going to the end with Kaycee was one of them. He admitted in an interview that he threw the final four veto competition because he didn't want to have to choose between Angela and Kaycee for eviction. If he had won that competition and chosen to evict Kaycee, I think he'd be the winner right now. He would have gone to the end with Angela (let's be real, JC sucked at competitions and probably still would have lost HOH part 2 against Angela), and there's no way that Angela would have won. That jury hated her.

I'm sad that they didn't devote more finale time to the pre-jury boots. We didn't even get to hear from Kaitlyn, one of the biggest personalities of the season, but we spent forever on a cringey Swaggy/Bayleigh proposal. Yuck. I love hearing from the pre-jurors because they've been on the outside watching the show and can fill the jury in on some surprising secrets.

Overall, I feel that this was one of the best Big Brother seasons we've had in years. I'm not thrilled about the winner (she didn't do anything offensive, she was just boring as hell), but I rarely am. I'm looking forward to next year!

I think I'm neutral between Tyler and Kaycee. Kaycee dominated at competitions, but also was never really anyone's target the whole game, even if her game was less fun to watch than Tyler's it was just as strong.

Kaycee really showed she could win the comps and she was clearly better at jury management than Tyler was. Tyler shot his game in the foot when he cuddled up with Angela. He could've justified having final two's deal with all of them to get himself to the end, cutting Brett in the way he did, but he was flustered.

The finale needs to be changed. The clip show needs to be cut or an extra show added so that we are at the final two for finale night. Do the vote, find a winner and do a proper reunion like Survivor does with everyone on stage.

Did the producers think we wanted to see more of Swaggy and Bayleigh? He dragged out that proposal and we got chopped down final comments from the final two and no satisfying conclusion on other storylines.

Agreed. By this point in the show I barely remembered who Swaggy and Bayleigh even were (and no loss there; I was reminded all over again about how much I had disliked them).

It was rumored but has now been confirmed that Bayleigh actually got pregnant while in the Big Brother house. She found out the day before her big blow-up with Tyler. She later had a miscarriage in the jury house. Even though they didn't have contact, Swaggy was informed of the pregnancy while he was on the outside.

So... the proposal was what - genuine or a shotgun situation?

Sheesh. And no, I don't feel sorry for her.

It's a horrible thing to happen, so I feel sorry for that as no one should have to go through it.

But I hate Bayleigh the person. She was a princess who couldn't deal with getting played and not getting her way. She lost her mind in one of the most epic ways a houseguest has ever lost their mind.

They squeezed as much as they could out of Swaggy this year. He's another guy that played too hard too quick and lost. Just like Brian in BB10, just like Jozea. I get the feeling he wanted another fifteen minutes of fame with the proposal at the finale instead of dating and actually understanding if he and Bayleigh work as a couple. He knows Jess & Cody, Jeff & Jordan are beloved and he wants to squeeze himself in there too because he knows he isn't on the game play level of a Derrick or a Dan.

As far as I can tell, the people who hate Paul love Cody.

I’m not sure I’d put Swaggy and Jozea in the category of Brian. Brian is like Josh from S3, the smart guy with no social clout who knows what strategic moves to make but has no idea how to build the relationships he needs for them to work.

Figures. I came to like Paul in his second season, and still think it would be nice to see him win one of the CBS shows. I wonder how he'd do on The Amazing Race?

I don't hate Paul as much as some do. He knew he had a group of sheep of BB19 and used it to his advantage. Hell, even Steve woke up and took out Vanessa before the final 2.

The only times when I really detested Paul were when he got involved with some other houseguest and they made an obnoxious combination.
