Those two look silly, like I'm so tough, and then Linda looks like she can kill with her stare. But now I want to see it, too.

I thought $$$$ was the reason for every movie ever made, ever.

What does John Connor being alive have to do with preventing Judgement Day? John Connor stays alive to defeat Skynet in the future, well after Judgement Day. That is why he is so important.

Kyle germinates two things inside Sarah the first night they met.

An egg and and the human resistance.

Over the years, well before Judgement Day, she must have gotten close to taking out Cyberdyne, a couple of times.

How cool and funny it would be if the new film was titled Terminator 3?

But in the original timeline, she wouldn't have known or cared about Cyberdyne. In the original timeline, her child knew nothing about Skynet and Terminators; in fact, over the changes over the years, the *parantage* may have even changed. John and Sarah were never important UNTIL John was about to take out Skynet in the future.

Only Kyle's kid, with decades of training, useful resources and prep, was going to be in a position of repelling a near victorious Skynet.

No one trying to get their shit together, starting after Judgment Day is going to amount to a hill of beans.

    Otherwise...

    Skynet wins.

Invents Time travel because it's cool.

Sends people back in time like we sent dogs into space.

Then the future and past keep change after dozens, or hundreds of cycles, until we finally get the first movie that we did in 1984, where Skynet loses.

Did John Connor have a sex change? That’s one way to hide I suppose.

Even though there is a lot of hit and miss in the series, with the time travel involved, I'd like them to somehow reference all previous movies. Alternate timelines and parallel developments can really negate any continuity problems, really.
And I didn't think Genisys was that bad. My main complaint was that piece of wood that replaced Michael Biehn.

I do not think that photo looks good at all. It does nothing to boost my excitement for this project.
I need more cause as of now this is still seeming like a bad idea.

The error was Genysis, they should've continued the Future War arc. Found a way to do T5 for less if need be. Completing the time loop was part of the fun for me in this series.

I quite enjoyed T3. It kept with the Arnie over the top camp acting.. I liked the no-win ending in particular. You can't change fate.

Linda Hamilton, you mean. But that being said, Linda Carter also looks very good for 67!

My first thought was that Mackenzie Davis looks like she could be Linda Hamilton's (got it right that time) daughter. If we didn't already know this was a follow up to T2, I would have guessed this was a reboot with Davis as a gender swapped version of John Connor.
Oops, I could have sworn I fixed that.

I'm kind of so-so on Terminator 3, but I can almost guarantee having Edward Furlong in it would not have improved it.

She's holding a shotgun with a barrel that's either made short or was sawed off. Maybe a 'Cameronized' version, but it's definitely a scatttergun.

You are aware that the only reason John Connor existed in the first place was because Judgment Day happened. Right?

I enjoy the time travel mess that the franchise has embraced. It's at the point where neither the good guys or Skynet know what the hell is going on anymore, who started what when, or why anything is happening. Instead of trying to retcon it, they just embrace that both sides have royally effed up the timeline.

Both sides just need to sit down and agree to ONE more time travel loop, and this time no more resets, best man/AI wins!

The ONLY way that is true is if Kyle Reese is the original hero AND time traveler, and in a prequel to T1, we see him and the humans (not skynet) time traveling for the first time, maybe missing his target time period, getting stuck in the 80s, and Skynet's first terminator into the past is following Reese through the first time machine, possibly giving Skynet time travel information for the first time..... Reese meeting Sarah Connor randomly and giving her enough info to *accidentally* set John onto his later path after she realies it is all true and she is pregnant... i don't know, its all convoluted. It would make more sense to me that John was just a random person in the apocolypse that happened to step up and become a hero, thus putting a target on his own past. I think its much more likely that after the first couple loops, Reese accidentally changes John's parentage, and is originally just a soldier sent back in time to protect John's mother.

If Judgement Day happened BEFORE John ever existed, AND there was no previous hero to set off the narrative, then skynet would have just WON and there would have never been time travel involved.
