Fine it the interface and controls fo not change.
Did the download. Al my star and planet names are back to before I renamed them. The tech has all changed, like starting from scratch. Maybe wait for a patch, but now I am inclined to ditch the game after two years of steady play.

Started a new save, a lot has changed...
Crafting is a bit more elaborate and you start of a ways away from your ship...

Space stations are bigger and busier:

Will devote up to 10 more hours before I decide. Learned how to make thruster fuel, which should be easy. Lots of antimatter so wsrp drive is not a short term problem. Fueling the impulse drive may be.

Any space rock is full of tritium? I do have some uranium but want to save it for now.

Most of them, some have gold and/or silver...
But the smaller ones are tritium...

Thanks. If I can deal with the new crafting and tech tree, I will continue to play.

Got it last night for ps4. Minutes turned to hours. I looked up and it was 4am. Is the world you start on default or part of the procedural destination? I got put on some ice world at 80 to 150 below and froze to death in minutes. figured it out though. it's a lot of fun

Start a new save file for the tutorials, play until you jumped 4 or 5 systems...

Probably a good idea, although I am resigned that my previous systems have lost my names. Little idea what is worth selling and keeping. Cannot playing until next week.

I continued with my old save from 2016, not a great experience as you're basically required to read external guides to do the most basic things as they changed so much

overall it's really impressive how much they have done with the game, for free!

asteroid mining is funner than EVE online's mining.
I made a mistake early on, found this really nice world, abundant flora, nothing really hostile found so far, good variety of resources, and the only storm I've seen was mild and easily avoided. Decided to build a base right then and there
    built it up.
realized I was on the outer edge of the galaxy and probably wont be back. oh well :D

Just started a new game, after two years away from it. Right now? Still on the ice world and it all seems pretty similar.
