I wouldn't be at all surprised if Lorca emerges either on the main show or a side project like BSG's Razor. Mostly thanks to Isaacs, he was a great character.
He's very active on e-bay.I want to know where Lorca got his trophies. At first I thought he gathered them over time like Theodore Roosevelt. But, time-wise, that's impossible. So something else happened and there's a story there.
They were probably in Prime Lorca's collection at his (non-ship) home or in storage, and Mirror Lorca brought them to the ship to learn more about his counterpart, and to try and look more genuine and well-established by having a collection that had been curated over years or even decades.I want to know where Lorca got his trophies. Won't happen. Lorca isn't a priority. They used Jason Isaacs to definitely add some legitimacy and gravitas to the series, but he was overshadowing Sonequa/Burnham and would continue to do so if he continued.
So he's turned into a silly moustache-twirling villain and killed off unceremoniously quite quickly, amusingly due to his love for Michael Burnham.
A Lorca-led series would have certainly been a treat, but alas.. that's not STD.
Is that something that really needs to be seen though? There isn't much mystery to be unravelled. It's not very compelling, and we already know where it awkwardly ends up for Lorca.
The better chance to utilize Jason's talent is starting fresh with Prime Lorca, instead of working within the confines of a character they sadly ruined.
This idea sounds a better fit for a tie-in comic or novel, like Countdown for the 09 film. Something small for the die-hard fans.
It would amuse me if they found Prime!Lorca and he turned out to be exactly the same as mirror!Lorca was. Turns out he's just an ass.

In fairness he was dealing with some seriously bad stuff that had happened to him. But yeah, Dayton Ward did a great job of depicting that Lorca as not all that different really. Nature/Nurture.Well in the one novel he shows up in, Prime Lorca acts similar to how Mirror Lorca acted when pretending to be Prime Lorca, just not as evil.
I think it was poorly skipped over the actual fate of our Lorca. Apart from Cornwell dismissing his survival as being unlikely I don't see why they can't make a mission out of finding him.
