What would be your ultimate dream video game?

I always envisioned a grand epic tale on the scale of Mass Effect or Star Wars adventure games that would have AAA titles for every genre that you could combine to have one massive game with tons of detail.

What i mean is if you take a game like Mass Effect you have a big adventure with action elements, well done so there's that. Now the game also features space combat elements that are resolved via cut scene and the outcome sometimes based on your previous story choices.

Now how about you can enter the cockpit of a Space Fighter and zoom around like it was the old X-Wing games or the more modern Elite / Star Citizen (commanding a Fighter or a capital ship).

The third Mass Effect also had a strategy aspect in the background so how about a full scale RTS or round based strategy game?

All these games could be combined, played separately or by bits and pieces (use the core game and buy additional games as wanted) so for someoine whi would buy all games thet experience would be one heck of a thing when they seamlessly move from genre to genre.. do the adventure part on a huge space station or adventure, climb into the cockpit of your own fighter and lead a squadron on a mission of your own choosing and design that you have determined in tthe command center of your flagship.

I would lose my shit if someone would consider and actually implement it, i know it's absolutely unrealistic as it would take all of the ressources of a huge gaming company like EA and insane amounts of technical problems and ressources (both on the development and customer side).

It's basically a low grade holodeck experience :D

Dust 514 on PS3 came sort of close to what you are describing (FPS tied directly into the ongoing space MMO Eve Online)

it wasn't very successful but at some point, the developer (CCP) was thinking about expanding this to other genres as well

I would love an in-depth Navy/Military Base Command simulator that was bascially the same as Cities Skylines.
The military mods & assets just aren't enough.
