Why do Star Trek fans hate Voyager? - Link

Anyone notice that Katherine Janeway has the same initials as James Kirk but backwards? A bit like Captain Christopher Pike and Captain Jean Luc Picard having similar sounding names! :)

It was a combination of Jeri Taylor disliking the very premise of Voyager in the first place, her wanting Janeway to always be right, and the writers getting fed up with Beltran blowing his dramatic chances so they didn't want to bother with him.

The entire idea that it had to be 'Janeway's way' was long before Beltran said boo so I can't agree. Alliances in fact was before 7 even arrived and the show skewed so far in her direction Beltran complained.

I can't lay all the blame on Jeri Taylor either. She was not the only writer in the room. She was also not the producer.

Yeah, but Beltran blew anything they DID give him in the first place. Whereas Picardo took small moments and made them gold.

It was all part of the larger problem that VOY was rushed into production while there were still important kinks that needed to be ironed out.

I've seen a similar list about Abraham Lincoln and JFK!
