Will be there be nudity in Season 2?

I stand by that too. If you want to publically judge others, you should subject yourself to the same. Not doing so seems cowardly to me, like a bully jealous of others.

Haha. That's hilarious. Okay, I'll let you believe I'm 'jealous' of Tilly's 'looks' ... that's the real reason why I find the prospect of her naked onscreen unappealing.

Brilliant.

The "Like" in that sentence is a key point.

I highly doubt that @Awesome Possum thinks you are jealous of Tilly's looks.

More like, sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. You see nothing wrong with actors and actresses' privacy being invaded for entertainment. So, why is not right for you? :vulcan:

You can't seem to drop it. I find it sad. But at least you find it funny, someone should.

You keep replying to my posts, so that applies to both of us ;)

That being said, let's steer this thread back to the OP's discussion.

Should there be nudity on STD? Nope. I'd be against it.

Will there be nudity on STD? Yes. More than likely. The horrific full frontal Klingon scene is proof that the producers want to push some boundaries, and the way they handle nudity on STD will fit in with the dark and demented tone of the series. It won't be good nudity. It won't be pleasant to see.

Demented?

Nudity is demented?

I have no issues with nudity. But most seen in American media is purely there for the male audience and generally extremely sexist. It's pure titillation and adds nothing to the story. It's just "look guys, boobs!" I would think that most men would be insulted by this pandering to their base instincts, but maybe they enjoy such simple pleasures. Given that Star Trek is usually written on a level that young teens can understand it, so I find it odd that they would choose to use nudity at all. Even the brief Klingon shot was an odd choice, especially since it was meant to be taken as a rape scene. It was a sick thing to sexualize.

Demented and disturbing are understated descriptions for the L'Rell full frontal scene.

I have no doubt we'll get more nudity in line with that for S2.

Not nudity that can be sexualized, more like nudity that will make the audience feel grossed out.

I wasn't grossed out by it. In fact, I forgot about how much we saw from Ash's flashbacks until reading this thread. It was so fast and not what I was focused on. Though I imagine it was easier to slip through a lot of people's radar since L'Rell is an alien.

But I'm suddenly reminded here of the TOS episode "Is There In Truth No Beauty?" Or the original "Planet of the Apes" when Taylor wanted to kiss Zira.

Whether the individual leaks the images or not, they exist and are out there and there are consequences. It's not as simplistic a case as 'blaming the victim.'

Well, yes it is really. But that actually has nothing to do with the question under discussion.

I've got no sympathy for celebrities who's brands are tainted by their private lives leaking out. It's an occupational hazard and they know it. Especially in today's social media-driven industry.

We got that, problem is all that brings to the table is to lower people's opinions of you.

Kane is not the subject of this discussion. Just saying and no, I'm not mini-modding.
