Warner bros announce superhero films through 2020

Kirk is the only person I've seen who has a problem with Wiig's casting.
I'm not very familiar with her myself, but from the bits and pieces I've seen of things with her, I have no reason to doubt she'll do a good job.

Wiig is a fine actress with a great amount of range. I wasn't a huge fan of Wonder Woman (largely due to the terrible third act), but I'm sure she'll be fine in the sequel.

In the end, Wonder Woman 1 survived even when the villain had problems (they should have cast a second actor as Ares main form and kept the first actor as a shape shifted disguise of Ares), so I'm sure the parts of WW2 not connected to Wiig (who is not Cheetah and I'll never call her that) will be good. Heck, a lot of good MCU movies have weak villains (although none played by an actor anywhere near as bad or miscast as Wiig) It just sucks that WW will have such a terrible actress playing WW's most iconic villain. I guess someone saw Eisenberg as Jok...I mean "Lex Luther" and Leto as "Joker" and thought "We can cast a worse actor for a villain".

Yes. (Though I didn’t mind the third act as much as some, it wasn’t up to the quality of the film’s earlier portions—Wiig will be fine.)

No. Just...no.

You really don't care about your online reputation very much, do you?

That's the only explanation I can come up with for your continued nonsensical and ridiculous opinion posts.

I totally welcome Wiig as a villain, especially if Cheetah is the main villain...because I'm sick of DC's terrible CGI villain finales. Even draped in mountains of CGI, at least Zod was properly anchored by an actor. I was bored by Doomsday and Ares and what I've seen of Steppenwolf won't change my mind. It probably doesn't help that the other actor-based villains have been flat or crap. (Luthor and Enchantress, take your pick as to which is which.)

I'm not necessarily opposed to Wiig but I have trouble picturing her in the role. It seems quite a stretch from what's she's done before so it will be interesting to see how she tackles it. Not just in terms of being a dramatic role but what I traditionally think of Cheetah is very different from how she usually comes across on screen. But you know I don't think Michelle Pfeiffer ever did a role quite like Catwoman before or since and that was pretty good so I'm willing to wait and see.

Thing is, numerous people have suggested slight tonal tweaks in his posts that would encourage better discussion instead of the face palming we get now. He completely ignored them all, meaning this person is after one thing - attention. And we are all complicit.

Well, that's what people said about Michael Keaton 30 years ago.

And lots of others besides. It's rare for an actor to be so utterly perfect for a comics character that everyone instantly sees it and accepts it. Patrick Stewart is the ur-example -- fandom cast him as the ideal Charles Xavier long before he actually got the part.

That is a stone you probably don't want to throw from your glass house. :vulcan:

Oh yeah, because I don't bow to how some people want me to post, I want attention. I've give you a little secret, I don't give a fuck. I wish more people would leave me alone, actually. I'm not going to change what I say or how I say it because some people don't like it. If you don't like what I say, don't read my posts. Its not on me to change what I do, its on you to just not read it if other peoples opinions bother you so much.

Why is it a surprise that they didn't announce a project until they were ready? Whatever we hear is usually only the tip of the iceberg and lags well behind when the decisions are set in motion, because nothing should be announced to the public before the contracts are signed. It makes no sense to say there's something wrong with Warner Bros.' planning because we didn't hear about it. If anything, it's probably better planning if we don't hear about it, because that means nothing is leaking prematurely.

I am a bit surprised we didn't hear any rumors or get any teases before the announcement.
Not surprised they are doing it as one of their next movies, with hints of Darkseid in Batman v Superman, and Steppenwolf in Justice League it makes sense to go all in with The New Gods movie.

Well that is a pleasant surprise on many levels! I have often felt it's difficult to introduce the New Gods mythology as villians or supporting roles in Earth bound superhero stories. This is a great way to greatly expand beyond the little we saw in Justice League in Steppenwolf. It would be fantastic for Darkseid to be a fully developed character before they do another alien invasion story.
