The Down Under Lounge

This is how it's gone down: she was having sex with someone else when they were in the off again part of their on again, off again affair and that someone else has done the math. That someone else is going to ask for a paternity test and Barnaby freaked out and had to get in there first before that someone else has a huge headline and Barnaby is pwned.

The $100 note is a “Kermit?” Who knew.

I knew of the lobster and pineapple ($20 and $50). Do the $5 and $10 have nicknames?

Two thoughts about Turnbull today IO would liek to rant about.

One.
From the Guardian -
Malcolm Turnbull has attacked Labor for backing union demands to increase minimum wages, claiming that dramatic rises will cause unemployment.

Turnbull accused Bill Shorten of being a “craven populist” who was prepared to sacrifice jobs for wage growth, at the Australian Financial Review conference on Wednesday.

What is giving tax breaks to millionaires and corporations but Turnbull being a "craven populist" towards the Big End of Town?

Two.
The Federal Govt. buying up the Vic and NSW shares in Snowy Hydro. Why I wondered? It took me hours, because I'm slow. One seller is much simpler for a corporation to deal with.

We need a federal election now.

We do, they're called elections, but some of us are stupid enough to vote them in again. And let's not get started about a republic and how we'd elect a president (which is who term limits are for). I understand the desire for a republic, but if it ain't broke...

No Australia doesn't need to elect a president anymore than it needs to elect a governor-general. Simple create a position of president which holds all the powers and responsibility the G-G currently holds and tell lizzy and the parasites to go take a flying jump.

The role would largely ceremonial which is definitely not unheard of it (Germany and Israel are to countries that come to mind).

And the next person who says the current government should be sacked by the G-G but won't because he was appointed by the libs (and same for the twerps who claimed bryce wouldn't sack rudd cos she was appointed by labor) should be soundly beaten with a copy of the constitution.

Here's a question I do not know the answer to, and wouldn't know where to find it:

Do we pay for Liz and Co (By Royal Appt ot Australia)? Do they actually cost us anything?

I think it's just the costs when they come for a visit.

And going back to the joyce story, the latest is that the baby might be matt canavan's

If we just pay for her visits, why change it? The Aust President would cost a lot of money, even if he did take over the GG's role.

Canavan. Yeah, pretty suss. Is Barnaby actually having sex with her, or is he just a beard? And why would he do that? And then say, grey area?

It's a shit show.

Some thing I noticed over night, was that I saw some advertisement on FB for the Palmer Party. He seems he is trying again to get his party to be elected with bashing of the other parties.

Yeah, he says he's going to get his business going again and re-employ all the people he laid off. And his party as well.

Can anyone say, "phoenix company"?

Shit! Libs won the SA election. Well, there goes any useful renewable energy policy out the window. Libs are saying it was a referendum on energy which is code for "Now let's get back to coal! Isn't coal great?!"
