About Sarek and Spock, just because they have not talked to each other in 18 years, it does not mean they did not see each other in those years. In "Journey to Babel", it was stated by Amanda that Spock last visited his home in 2264, when he saw both of his parents.

ok
Very funny. :)
I actually got my ECV model last week from Eaglemoss. It's bigger than i expected.

This episode was really disappointing. Now they are ending the seasons on fanwanks rather than on it's own terms. Also the end of the War makes me ask, what was it? What did it amount to and why should I care.

I did like the Burnham, Sarek, and Amanda scene but the rest of the episode disappointed me tonight, especially for a season finale.

Talk about a awkward situation. Was Spock talking through his mum to talk to Sarek like a kid? :)

You see a side of a Trill neck in the bar/strip club on Qo'nos.

Dax is currently in either Emony or Audrid. As for Curzon, all we know canonically is he was born some time before 2267, because he was over a hundred years old when he passed away.
He's hanging around the Trill Symbiosis Commission hoping for an opening.

The Klingon War arc was pretty crappy. I get why it happened and some of the episodes were alright, but damn, was this a turd of a resolution. Archer ending up being held prisoner by Space Nazis after the Xindi superweapon explodes was a much more satisfying end to an arc than this was.

Yeah with this much "way to easy ending" going on, the "way too easy" captain thing would be too much
According to the novel, Prime Lorca is prisoner somewhere. My theory is that some faction of the Terran Empire has him.

This is one of those really minor "canon" issues that can easily be reconciled.

Like this: 18.

I liked it but the end of the war did feel rushed. On another note did anyone else see that the Earth Spacedock from Star Trek 3 was under construction when they did the zoom in on Earth at the beginning of the episode?

My behind the scenes reasoning is:
"Bridge Crew of Disco gets medals, Burnham gets her rank back, and they all agree never to divulge just what Cornball and Sarek nearly did. Burnham gives a speech she believes in, though the bitter reality of how it all came together weighs heavily on her shoulders. the end"

Well, it confirmed for me one thing about the Empire. If she did not have Burnham and Tilly and Lorca and some other people and a successful propanganda machine, she would never have ascended to her position. By herself, she was not much of a threat.

And, the writers of the series fixed another canon issue. By expunging her record, there would be no record of a mutiny, making it so we do not need to reconcile the events seen in the series with "The Tholian Web" where Spock stated that there had never been a mutiny aboard a starship.

I must say, I have so very much enjoyed the experience of talking about weekly Star Trek with you all. Even when we didn't all agree, there was actual passion and excitement for the franchise again, and it's been too long. I'm grateful to DSC for that, and for giving my family, friends and myself a show to love, debate about, be frustrated by, and be thrilled together with once again.

I will definitely miss this. Season 2 can't come fast enough.

My next big Trek adventure (to hold me over): Ticonderoga with family and friends to do the Star Trek TOS set tour with William Shatner!

Biggest mistake Starfleet ever made. Giving her promotion back. She should be in jail for many many years.

They reused the ENT-era planetary symbols for United Earth and Andoria in the plaza near the President's office in Paris. The Earth with one laurel curving around it is slightly different from the ENT Season 4 graphics but still more or less the same logo.

There is no "I" in Emperor

Shatner??? that sounds like fun. Be prepared for him to talk about himself for many hours though. :)
