I believe most of the season was spent un-Fullering the show after he left. Someone pointed out how more normal the old species were to their original appearances than the Klingons, which was a symptom of Fuller's departure. I was pretty surprised at the Orion-ness of the Orions.

I'm pretty sure I saw a Trill extra in the strip club. Complete with spots that would have looked just fine on Dax.

I'd love it if next season the Klingons are a mix of TOS-era/augments and Berman-era, and no one says a thing about it.

I hope we don’t see any Klingons at all next season.

Unlikely. They're setting it up to at least see Ash Tyler come back one time next season, so I think seeing some Klingons is in the cards.

Hopefully it's just a one-off however.

Well the Houses are all intermingling now, so we have Human-y captains. And Kor can take his house back from the dead Kol.

And it was fought sometime before 2250. The first time Kirk visited Axanar was as a cadet on the peace mission for which he was decorated by Starfleet, and Garth's victory had already occurred by then.

Interestingly enough, Axanar was never mentioned within canon as a battle against the Klingons.

Wouldn't she be using the vulcan equivalent of zimmer frame at this point?

She was relatively young for a Vulcan when ENT was on (mid 60s). Vulcans can live for up to 200 years, since Sarek was an old man by the TNG era. During this era T'Pol should be about 165 or so - basically middle aged. They might need to use some light aging makeup on her, but that's all.

Well, she was in her 60's when she was assigned to NX-01. The actress' current age, around 15 years later in real time, would probably match her character's relative look in age 80-100 years later. Although I doubt Blalock would come out of retirement for the role.

I'd love to see her in a guest role, but honestly she doesn't have the chops to be the lead in the show, and it wouldn't appeal to anyone but fanboys.

Shran would be an even better captain, but I would guess if he's still alive he's an admiral by now.

Cue people thinking T'Pol will be captain.
I wouldn't hate that.

Though really, I hope there isn't a new captain -- shit happens and the new person can't stay around. I just don't know who it would be that, at this point, would be a better choice than Jones, unless they bring in another Issacs-esque ringer.

Though if it supposed to be Number One (which would explain why they conveniently ran into the Enterprise) then Captain Lauren Grahm would basically be the best thing ever as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah, just do what they did for Sarek in Journey To Babel. Blalock is 42. Lenard was 43 when he first played Sarek.
