"With Georgiou at the helm of the plan to end the Klingon war once and for all, the USS Discovery crew struggles to fathom and tolerate her hostile tactics. Memories of past hardships are rekindled within Burnham." - Memory Alpha

This is the last episode of season 1. And what a season it was. Captain Lorca became a fan favorite only to get killed off rather quickly after being revealed to be an aspiring Mirror Universe emperor rather than the ambiguous war-torn character he was thought to be. Then we have the Mirror Universe arc itself which was an unusual sojourn from the Klingon war. It didn't seem to have much to do with the first season arc but it was interesting, different for Trek and it brought Georgiou back into the fold, or at least a version of her. And what about that Klingon war? How do they wrap it up in one episode? An answer to that will come soon and hopefully with a few surprises. So, here we go...

Some on the internet have already seen the episode but cant go into too much detail, there is talk of a certain huge man made object that glides into view at the end of the season finale.

Even more that claim to have seen it but haven't.........I think most people have been predicting a Connie to pop up sooner or later.

Yeah the one I mentioned came from aintitcool which is normally correct, mainly because he uses any and all opportunities to complain about the show at the same time.

Prediction:

Burnham will either be pardoned, or die. If she doesn't die, Ashvo will. There's also a small possibility that they both die.

According to Ain't it Cool News (guest actor spoilers): (I know this is the spoiler thread, but just to be safe)

Clint Howard has a role in this episode

Also here is their semi-spoilery review, doesn't really give anything away http://www.aintitcool.com/node/79424

I wouldn't be surprised if Ashvoq is in line for an heroic sacrifice.
True but he may be of more use alive for the next season.

That entirely depends on whether or not Starfleet will allow him to go back to work.

If this is truly the Prime Universe, whatever happens has got to start the Klingons down the road to becoming their more familiar selves (if not the TOS versions, then at least the TMP versions). The main impetus of T'Kuvma's crusade was to unite all the Houses of the Empire under one leader. That ain't gonna be TyVoq, then or now. L'Rell probably won't survive Georgiou's interrogation (seen in the preview clip), so it won't be her.

Hmm. We've seen a Klingon become a human. What's to stop a human from becoming Klingon? Say, a former Emperor in need of an Empire to rule...? Coming within inches of blowing up the homeworld would certainly earn respect from the Klingons, if not awe. Add in the 'back from the dead' angle and --

Nah. Not even the DSC writing team is that stupid...

Maybe They will just make the "ENTERPRISE/FARRAGUT" (??) 25% bigger?
(that's the number rumored to be the amount of changes to the Constitution Class Ship we "might/probably will" see)

If Clnt Howard is in it...,
"...Say Hello to my BIG Starship..." <chuckle>

Maybe They'll end the season with the First Federation showing up...
(just to mess with everybody's 'head-canon') LoL
:nyah:

Shouldn't the Klingon symbol be on the left of that poster?
Or are we assuming that they will be all the way to the SOL System by the climax of the episode?
:wtf:

So, Discovery fans, should I go ahead and start my free 3 day trial subscription (on Amazon) to CBSAA now, and binge all the episodes before tonight? Or wait for tonight and watch them all straight through? I'm beginning to get a little antsy having not seen the season's second half episodes yet.

Wait, don't tell me, Lorca ain't from around here, is he?

And Moses said "Wait, I haven't given you the appendix with the 11th commandment yet! On Sundays thou shalt binge-watch. When someone invents TV. And the internet. And streaming" ;)

Mirror!Voq's amazing piece of wisdom to Burnham was that a mutual enemy will unite Klingons with other species. The enemy of my enemy is my friend, in essence. I'm guessing that enemy is Georgiou. Uniting to stop her will bring peace somehow.

... or the ROMULANs will show up.
:wtf:
