Terran Empire medals

Mr. Laser Beam

You know in the After Trek bit that showed all the medals that Terran crew can earn, there were two different ones for "Master of Poisons"?

To wit:

Did they ever explain that? Because I have a sneaking suspicion that the one which looks like a globe with a knife in it (between the ones for "Valor" and "50 Kills") is actually the medal for Captain. Can anyone confirm?

Reasons why I think this:

- Every captain in the Empire that we've ever seen (Kirk in TOS; Burnham, Connor and Killy in DSC) has worn that medal.
- There's a medal for First Officer, so why wouldn't there be one for Captain as well?
- There's no logical reason to have two different medals for the same award.

Spock, Scotty and a bunch of others in the TOSverse would have those, as would Picard.
I was referring to the double Master of Poisons.

Why is there two Masters of Poisons?
That was the entire point of this thread. Did you read the first post? :nyah:

I am guessing one is supposed to be something like proficient in poisons

I think (like Laser Beam said in the OP) it's meant to be a badge for Captains, since we've only seen Captains wearing it.

Whoever made that graphic may have made a mistake.

Their is a badge specifically for First Officers, why not one for captains?
