Yeah I thought that....OK Spock did it to Valeris in ST6 but by then it was KNOWN she was a traitor. Sarek didn't know for a fact anything about Saru so I thought he was a tad "forward" in doing that.

All PU Sarek (and the Admiral) knew before beaming aboard was:
- By all accounts the U.S.S. Discovery was CONFIRMED destroyed by Klingons nine months previous (She herself saw the debris.)
- Suddenly a ship matching the U.S.S. Discovery specs is detected 1 light year from Earth.

Re: the need for Sarek to mind-meld with folks - remember this comes only a few minutes after Tyler tells Saru that Voq was the "test case" for Klingons used to infiltrate Starfleet Command...
Are we sure Cornwell is still who she thinks? She seems awfully keen on visiting L'Rell for advice... and feels a "bond" with her...

This... it would give context to why less then 40 years later Starfleet personnel collude with others in STUC and why peace with the Klingons is such a huge deal.

A few questions.
What happened to the rest of the boarding party and a bit surprised that whatever was doing for nine months was just forgotten. What happened to the boarding party and the ship they were on?
What happened with the green spore we saw land on Tilly last week? Did I miss something?
Does Cornwell think the crew are totally stupid. They all knew Georgiou was "The Emperor" in the MU and was dead at Battle of Binary.
Still a great watch.

Yeah, I don't blame Sarek for doing a mind meld without asking permission. If this Discovery had not been friendly, asking for permission would not have worked and would have given them time to fight back. Sarek and Cornwell could not take that chance. The quick and direct mind meld gave them the information they needed without any issue.

Things I don't understand; how Stamments didn't batter the crap out of Ash Tyler and how Saru let him walk around (saboteur alert!).
Finally, how Cornwell gives command to MU Georgeou.
Serious lack of senior leadership in Starfleet. When does Kirk graduate to come in and take charge? No wonder he did it by the age 30-odd with this bunch of muppets in charge! J

I wondered about the scene, where the discovery is being borded by the Admiral and Sarek.
They say, that the incoming ship has raised shields and immediately afterwards, the teams beams onto the bridge. Isn’t transport impossible when shields are up?
As I read nothing concerning this in the comments and reviews about the episode, I may have missed something.

So far, nothing.
I'm assuming the missing words in that sentence are "Mirror Discovery" - she got blown up by the Klingons, as the Admiral explains (though SF assumed it was "our" Discovery).
They left? Probably to take Sarek back home or his next stop.
No, they haven't followed that up yet. Patience.
No, they DON'T know that - Burnham never told them who the Emperor was (even Saru is surprised and calls her "Captain" when he first meets her) and apart from Saru, Burnham and the transporter dude her presence aboard was classified. Detmer and other former Shenzou crew just know that Georgiou was believed killed by T'kuvma but there was no body recovered - given what we've seen of Klingon medical tech with Tyler, they might be thinking she could have been revived.
Now, the crew will probably believe Burnham or Saru pretty damn quick IF they reveal Georgiou is the mirror version, but this relies on them disobeying Cornwell's orders.
After TOS but before TMP. During TOS he was just a cog.
