I'm reading Blade of Silence by Mi Lei at the moment. For my previous read, Delta Blue (William Lovejoy), well, I finished it but I don't think I'll rush out and get any sequels. The villains of the novel were rather too one dimensional (in my opinion anyway).

I thought it was a little too "small worldish" and I felt it was a bit silly. I found myself rolling my eyes a ton.
A collection of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Brigadier Gerard stories, about a French hussar during the Napoleonic Wars. I was in the mood for the era; I'd been rewatching ITV's Sharpe series from the 90s and reached the end on Friday with "Sharpe's Waterloo."
Last night, I finished @Greg Cox's Warehouse 13 novel, A Touch of Fever, and started the digital collection of IDW's Spock: Reflections comic book miniseries, which is written by the Tipton brothers, with art by David Messina.
I finished reading Star trek TOS Janus book 2 I really like the story using science to try and solve the mystery on planet TLalol and all the weird alien technology the suprise ending in this book w as totally unexpected.. I look forward to finish reading book 3 to find how the story is wrapped up.
Cradle of Live by David Stern. I think the new Arrow novel comes out tomorrow so that'll probably be next.
I decided to set aside STNF: No Limits for now, and started STTTN: Sight Unseen by @James Swallow. Before that I also read #24 in Brian Azzarello's Wonder Woman run. It turns out the issue I read the other day was #25, so I went back to 24 to fill in the gaps.
I finished reading Star trek Janus gate book 3 past Tense by L.A. Graff I really liked this miniseries alot. This last novel nicely wraps up this storyarc. It's got good character story arcs and well written. I'll definitely re read thes e books again someday.
I'm out halfway through Arrow:Fatal Legacies by Marc Guggenheim and James Tuck. Enjoying it so far. After, that it'll be Midnight Front by David Mack.
Ex machina Quite good. CLB took an episode I wasn't crazy about and a movie I didn't care for and made a really interesting story. There wasn't a ton of action, but I didn't miss it because of the excellent characterization. The introspective moments were great; I felt like I was learning new things about characters I've been watching for 30 years and all of it still felt natural. The dialog between the cast was also very good; it fleshed out the relationships between the crew at the time of TMP in a much better way than the movie itself did. I have never been a big fan of the more "alien" of the alien crew that we get in a lot of books, but I think they were handled pretty well here. The various societal differences and modes of thought were well thought out and showed why each character joined SF while also demonstrating how their unique backgrounds made them valuable additions to the crew. I also like the fact that McCoy expressed his opinion about all of the practical problems inherent in a highly mixed crew. The best part of the book imo, is the care taken to make each species and segment of society seem realistic. . The alien (crew members and Daran 5 denizens) are very different than the humans, but there is enough background detail about their home planets that their societies seem perfectly logical. But it isn't just the aliens who are treated this way - the religious and political groups on Daran IV aren't just given cookie cutter motivations. Each group is allowed to explain their differing opinions in ways that make their ideologies perfectly believable. Very well done.
Finished Fatal Legacies at lunch as expected (enjoyed it and it leads in to season 6 of Arrow, so is a bit spoilery if you haven't seen the first few episodes) Now, I'm on Midnight Front by David Mack and it is good so far
"Tower of Babel" - I've been buying the "Rise of the Federation" books, but still working my way through the backlog.
