I wonder if she’s as stupid as the Prime version.
Or maybe she’s the Prime version and the one we saw in the Prime was the Mirror one.
These characters just will not stay dead! Someone was saying to me last week when I said they don't die that Landry did! Wrong whoever you were ;) Death has no meaning on Discovery. No doubt Prime Tyler will emerge somewhere some time... sigh.

Another thing I don't get - why did Burnham decide to throw her lot in with Mirror Georgiou against Lorca? Not that we have any reason to think that Lorca is actually a hero in any way, but we have ample knowledge that Georgiou is a nasty piece of work. Wouldn't the smart thing have been for Burnham to keep her confidence at that moment and not blurt it out? The flashbacks would have told the viewers enough.

Ned's failure was telegraphed, sure, but I think someone paying attention could still be legitimately be surprised by Joffrey's self-defeating egomania in ordering Ned's execution. Crazy is one thing, stupid another.

Ned was the example setter. You were supposed to be surprised, because he was the archetypical "fantasy good guy whose heart of gold will save the day". It's everything after Ned that shouldn't surprise you.

Discovery isn't subverting tropes and types to that level. I'm not sure Trek fans would allow them to. I doubt any franchise with a decent fanbase would. That's the luxury of creating a new IP: you can take advantage of expectations without being held to them.

So, L'Rell killed Voq's personality, so all that's left is Tyler.
Practically the only saving grace from this episode. Finding out that Lorca was MU-native means that, essentially, the most nuanced, best portrayal of this entire series is a one-offer and, unless this has been an enormous headfake-within-a-headfake, Isaacs isn't coming back next season.

After I watch this show, I'll watch an episode of TNG or DS9 and feel satisfied. Discovery is like an appetizer - - not bad by any means, but not quite a meal. TNG etc. provides a main course. The episodes have structure. Characters are developed. Discovery is all plot, all the time.

Now that I think about it, it can't have been Mirror Saru who got eaten. He was still safely back on the ISS Shenzhou. He wasn't on the shuttle. Still uggh, though that the poor Kelpian was chosen like a damned lobster.
For all we know the Empress had Saru brought over from the Shenzhou while they were on board her ship. I got the feeling that it was Saru, and that the Empress was making a point to Burnham by mentioning it. Of course only time will tell.

Lorca is a sexual predator who preyed on his adopted “daughter”. Betrayed PU Burnham and trapped her entire ship and crew in the MU to start with.

Why wouldn’t she side with the Emperor?

*Sigh* Looks like Baltar is a cylon.

Every bad twist predicted by the fans seems to be true. So now Lorca's different morality is meaningless, the choice has been taken away. This ruins his character completely. They are saying, nobody from the prime universe could possibly have different morality from the Federation, you have to be from the MU to have different morality.

My interest in the series just decreased significantly.

3rd straight excellent episode in the mirror universe. Are they going to stay there the rest of the season? 3 episodes are left.

The emperor ship kind of reminded me of VGer.

Another theory was true. Disappointed in that, but the way it was revealed was well done. Can't wait to see how they wrap up this storyline.

RIP voq, or is it? I guess that experiment backfired for Lrell. And this is the only way Tyler can stay on the ship

I thought they were going to bring Culber back, but I guess we will only see him in the spore universe, which now is kind of like a holodec.
I'm still not seeing how Starfleet Intelligence and Starfleet Medical allows essentially a Frankenstein's Monster whose had his engrams scrambled to continue to serve on active duty. I am not saying the writers won't do it, just that it stretches credulity a tad much.

That having been said, aside from Lorca, Tyler was my favourite.

She was my favorite character! Hopefully they won’t totally waste her again.
