Still not a big fan of the Klingon makeup, which seems to be an aberration from the norm. Anyone who thinks it is a cheaply-made series isn't paying attention, or doesn't want to.

Plus it was logical to do the Klingons this way so they could disguise Shazad Latif under all that makeup.
Yeah the Klingons redesign never bothered me at all. T'Kuvma was probably the most drastic as he has a more beetle like appearence but other than that it makes sense. It makes them look more alien to me. I'm not sure why they all have to be bald though. It's like Vulcan's all having the Spock haircut. We need some hair diversity.True, I think they went back to the TMP ideas on how they evolved. They also designed skulls and such as well and you can tell it was fanbois as it has a bit of thought. Why they went bald, I have no idea though.

Maybe Klingons are into waxing. Less time spent shaving = more time to spill the blood of your enemiesJust a thought: L'rell is in prison. She's been in prison for days. Zero head stubble.
So, I guess they cannot grow hair.
Very alien and more inline with the lore than what we saw most times.
really? because I very strongly believe that most people's (who know who Klingons are) first association with Klingons would be the ridges. I really consider the head ridges the 'one dfining characterist' of their lookIf there's one defining characteristic of the Klingon look, it's the hair and beard.
I don't know who those losers are, but they are not welcome here!
They are an intergalactic superpower and there is no variation? I'm no genetics expert, but I think some variation would be appropriate.More in line with the lore? Well most Klingons we saw were during the runs of TNG, DS9, Voyager and ENT. And they all were of the same phenotype, except those few infected with the Augment virus in ENT. So, for almost twenty years of continous production, there really was no difference in their appearance. What would be considered as lore and "most times"? Four series with more than 700 Episodes and at least four Movies? Or two series with less than 100 episodes together?
How is it not a variety of Klingon? They have a virus that mutates their very genetic code. I know that Klingons are not the brightest bunch (at least, post TOS) but idea that they are not trying to resolve the issue, especially with T'Kumva's "remain Klingon" is indicative that the Augment virus, among other Federation "intrusions" are a source of conflict within the Klingon Empire. So, the leadership might be more inclined to engineer themselves back to more "pure" Klingon. This isn't an additional variety of Klingon, otherwise Lrell and Kol would have hair, while others wouldn't. Unless they shaved it off, but clearly they didn't.
We still figured out who he was.Plus it was logical to do the Klingons this way so they could disguise Shazad Latif under all that makeup.
If there's one defining characteristic of the Klingon look, it's the hair and beard. Even in universe, Klingons are famous for their great hair.
