What games are you playing currently?

Mostly Doom mods when I feel like gaming such as Wolfenstein Blade of Agony and Ashes 2063.

I really hope some science fiction themed single player games, especially FPS and action-adventure will come out next year.

I racked up some PS4 games for Christmas:

Wolfenstein II
Ratchet & Clank
Injustice: Gods Among Us
Doom
Assassin's Creed: Unity
Prey
Resident Evil 5

Way back when Trespasser came out for Dragon Age Inquisition came out, I ran into a bug during the final fight and couldn't finish. This morning, went back to an earlier save and managed to get through this time so now that's in the completed column. (Still need to do the second replay though).

Had a quick go of Andromeda and Deadpool and have also started on Doom (2016). That's a little different to what I expected (More old school than I was expecting after doom 3) but fun so far.

Assassin's Creed: Rogue on PS3, and Divine Divinity on PC.

Rogue is interesting in the sense that it's sequel to Black Flag, but also a prequel to ACIII. You get a whole mix of characters in their earlier years that appeared in ACIII such as Achilles, Connor's mentor. So while the game takes place in a slightly earlier time period than AC III, it uses the more modern Black Flag engine along with its game features such as sailing. I'm loving the exploration the North Atlantic in this.

After a rocky start with Mass Effect: Andromeda I am pretty hooked on the thing and I have just finished a 10 hour+ play through through the night binge (been a LONG time since I have done something like that). It's a pity the facial animations are pretty shit at times and the general lack of polish because it's a pretty good game though ME 2 & 3 are vastly superior especially 3. It feels like playing a slightly more advanced version of ME 1.

PS - I fucking love Krogans

Recently got Into star trek online. Slowly making my way through the game and I have vowed not to not buy any add ons for the game although I don't know how long that will happen

Back to Arkham City, though I'm currently not sure where to go next:(
Had a chat with Freeze and now I'm hunting the Joker again after rescuing Vicki Vale. I think I'm in the right area, but perhaps I have to go more vertical.

I gave up on The Simpsons: Tapped Out. I just got bored with it, and it was taking up over a GB of space, and it wasn't worth giving up that much space on my tablet. I got and started playing Pac-Man and Q*Bert instead.

It's a shame since there's a good game hiding in there somewhere, but it's buried under so many poor/questionable narrative and game design choices that it crippled the whole thing IMO.
I've tried a few times to start a second playthrough, but between the meandering plot, the perhaps too free-form class system, the absence of any variety in the world state or even background for the protagonist and the overall lack of resolution to the story, I just can't seem to do it.

It also didn't help that the crew this time around was very hit and miss for me. Some of them I loved (Vetra & Drax), a few I actively hated and wished I could throw out the airlock (Liam!), but most of them were just...unremarkable. Bland even (basically all of the non-combat crew.)

Oh and I know it's one of those nitpicky gameplay before story things, but just how many sodding Nexus outcasts were there and how many are even left by the end of the game? I must about killed several thousand of them at least! I feel like they would probably rather have had a much more diverse group of pirate/outlaw types with the Nexus outcast being just one small faction, but the limited resources meant they just reused the Milkyway race assets.

^ PeeBee and Drax are my favourite to take with me, those two are dam funny.
I liked Peebee. (Hell, my Ryder romanced her!) But I know she annoys the shit out of some people and can totally understand why. I think mostly she's a victim of the weird tonal problems found throughout the game. It never quite balances out the drama and the comedy very well, which is odd given that's been a hallmark of previous Bioware titles.

I gave up on Pac-Man and Q*Bert. Pac-Man needed coins to open levels, and after just a handful I was running out of coins, and I just plain sucked at Q*Bert. I started Cooking Fever instead, and so far I'm enjoying it.
