USS Enterprise (eventually) on Discovery?

Expecting the TOS Enterprise to show up unchanged in the reimagined Discovery universe is as plausible as expecting Adam West's Batmobile to show up unaltered in Justice League.

I feel like this is pretty self-evident, but since people have commented on the elongated shape of the Constitution on the display -

It's a three-quarters view horizontally and vertically, shown on a tilted display viewed at an angle. ...It looks elongated because we've viewing an angled image on an angled display.

There is a difference.
That's true. One of them was designed as an attempt to make Trek more modern, redesigning the look of some things, (often ignoring what fans expected of a "respectful" update), and generally staying within the confines of story-canon but not being beholden to "visual canon." Often times the new look was accepted, sometimes not so much. And then they did it all over again on Discovery. ;)

Well the one on discovery is respectful

If you saw that image without context it would still look like a Connie

And the aforementioned difference is...?
One is a homage the other isn’t.

It looked like TOS in ENT because they wanted to honour TOS. DSC isn’t doing it to honour the show 1:1.

DSC is a visual reboot, Enterprise wasn’t.

Ah, I see. The difference is arbitrary.

If the look of TOS is so pathetic and unworthy of preservation, maybe DISCO should just steer clear of TOS stuff. I personally don't mind a lot of the "updates" but there is such a thing as too much. Babies and bathwater, etc.

It is preserved, in the merchandise. The DVDs, books, comics etc.

It isn’t going away.

...It's funny how "preserving" seems to be foremost in the minds of the writers of modern Trek. Every single "reboot" movie had major scenes where the characters spelled out for the audience that all the old things did happen the way the audience once saw them happen, and the third one even introduced visuals to reinforce this.

Doesn't sound much like a reboot to me, really. Even of the visual sort.

Whether DSC counts as a visual reboot is debatable. But it, too, seems to be going well out of its way to establish that it is not a storytelling reboot.
