10. Episode was perfect. Stamets keeps talking about not going in the palace. There's something in there they don't want to see. Burnham read all the info she had on the crew roster of ISS Shenzou. She knows how she got the captain's seat. So she either had a more sucessful mutiny in this universe against Georgio or not. It's hard to imagine Georgio as empress, but its possible. I seem to recall hearing that Michelle Yeoh might be in the series one more time, so in that regard it's more likely.

As much as I'd love to see an ancient Empress Hoshi, I just don't see that happening.

And I really liked how the wireframe of Defiant looked.

I'll take a guess and say the emperor will be Cornwall. Discovery goes to the palace grabs her, returns and the Evil Cornwall is sent to the asylum where she is cleansed and becomes Lethe.

But wouldn't it be interesting IF Phillipa Georgiou was a descendant of 'Ho'-Shi Sato - and the Emperess in this MU? ;)

Georgiou a descandant of Hoshi? Heh.

Emperor Philipa Georgiou is a descendant of Emperor Sato, perhaps?

Right now, I think it's almost certainly Georgiou. That's the one person who would have the most effect on Michael Burnham--the main character of the series. In hindsight, they even foreshadowed it a bit when Burnham retrieved her badge from the Klingon ship. That revelation will tear our favorite mutineer's psyche to the ground, making for great drama. Even moreso, since Burnham's lover is a fucking Klingon, directly connected to the events which led to Georgiou's death.

It even fits quite well into the lore established by ENT.

Yes the actor may be coming back, but, will the character we know return or will we run into the evil version which changes direction.

We've seen pictures of the ISS Discovery dedication plaque on the bridge -- certainly not a minute detail they'd have changed on the USS Discovery stuck in the MU. So, I assume we'll see the actual ISS Discovery in the regular universe in coming weeks.

Edit to add: then again, would they change such a minor detail for the TV viewing audience?.... unless we actually get an up-close view of it.

Georgiou as empress will be amazing to see. Imagine if Michael has to fight or kill her? Before Michael sat in the Shenzhou captain's seat, she paused, i think in part she was thinking of Georgiou.
And will Saru have the guts to fight her?

I'm sure Georgiou probably murdered Sato to get in power.

That ship is going to be freaking old, even for a Federation starship.

What's the in-universe record so far? We know the Hathaway was 80 years old when she was decommissioned and turned into a training vessel for war games. The Bozeman automatically became 90 years older than she already was the moment she exited the temporal rift in the Typhon Sector and entered the 24th century.
