"Have you noticed your boobs have started to firm up?" That's embarrassing. Even if Troi were to phrase it that way, why should she ask Crusher about it while any men are around?

Then Data repeating the line to Worf. To quote reviewer Tim Lynch, "Data may be socially inept but he's not that stupid."

Deanna is pretty relaxed about such physical things, especially with her Betazoid background. And Beverly is a doctor. Why would either br bothered that men are around? It's just an observation, like Worf's zit.

Most straight men act like they're in junior high as soon as they hear the word "boobs".

Because I want to keep an open mind, honestly. A lot of Star Trek fans were created from the series and I don't want to just have a negative view of it without giving them atleast a second chance.

This never bothered me. Somehow it always seemed more "military" to me.

The upcoming Tarantino movie, if it's not a hoax and if it actually gets made.

Not only was that scene cringy in it's own right, but it's made worse by the fact that scene exists solely because of JJA's cynical nostalgia-mining.

Insurrection has a fair number of cringy moments, but at least that movie is earnest. It is, at worst, delightfully absurd.

I'm still convinced the Piscopo thing was a catastrophic Holodeck malfunction. The Eddie Murphy program failed to initialize.

That would've just given the TNG crew more fuel for another one of their tiresome speeches about how much more evolved they were than those poor dumb 20th century humans. Can you imagine Picard & co. watching Raw or Delirious?

Does that make Worf Deanna's Dexter?

Perhaps you'd prefer more references to things that happened in ealier better episodes/movies instead of original attempts at humor. How about a throwaway comment about Porthos? That more your style?

If so, I can borrow the Family Guy Joke Generator and set it to Trek.

I just don't find the humour in "Insurrection" funny, Specifically the boob and pimple jokes and Data's OTT breakdown at the beginning of the movie. I don't find them absurd - I find them cringey and embarrassing. As I find the B4 humour in NEM cringey and embarrassing. As I find row-row-row the boat in TFF cringey and embarrassing.

Maybe I'm just too high-brow for Star Trek :lol::lol:
Just joking. I still giggle when I see Kirk holding that rock in What Are Little Girls Made Of.

Well considering some of those on the list aren't even Star Trek I didn't vote for them.

Do you mind my asking what everyone's issue with "Code of Honor" is?

Boob joke was cringy, sure, but the "you Klingons don't do anything small" line was good.

You mean you haven't noticed your boobs firming up? Not that we care about such things this day in age.
