Anime influence is okay in moderation.
For instance, the way the lightspeed ramming thing was done in silence/slomo/silhouette was very Anime and I found it really cool, despite what it does to lore.
I'm sucker for scientifically accurate scenes. It also expands what we know about her force sensitivity beyond sensing Han's death.
But way more importantly, with Carrie Fisher's passing, it's the saddest, eeriest and most chilling moment in the film. It made my heart freeze.

Nah, that was just another among many, many silly scenes. It was having to see her laying there on life support that made me feel "WHAT THE FUCK?!!!".

I love how angry fanboys are bringing up Mary Poppins to describe Leia as if that is something bad. What's wrong with Mary Poppins ? Is that a lowkey misogynistic thing going on ? 
Poppins is a powerful wizard. She already was a popular culture icon before George Lucas was even born.
People use "Mary Poppins" to describe Missy in Doctor Who and she's basically the best iteration of the Master since Delgado. Resembling a magical immortal nanny adds even more strength to the fact that Michelle Gomez's portrayal is scary, unpredictable and has a huge screen presence. The same goes for Carrie. Yeah, that scene is basically like Space Poppins. Who cares ? It just makes Leia even more badass. It makes you believe she is the General Organa the Resistance draws hope from to fight and die in the name of the Republic.

I think the whole Mary Poppins reference has more to do with Guardians of the Galaxy 2 than any misogyny. Let's not get carried away here.

I've seen the movie twice now, and Space Leia was okay both times. In fact, I thought it was cool.

No real problem with this scene in theory, but like most of TLJ the execution left me wanting. It did seem like she had been out there for a few minutes at least. I'd rather have seen a more dynamic version of it cross-cut with Kylo and everyone else reacting to the explosion. As it is, the fake-out aspect of it just feels cheap.

Why are you trying to twist the random use of the word 'nah' into an outright attack on someone's opinion? (Rhetorical, don't really care.)

the scene was fine. Just one more example of how awful the Star Wars fan base is and how they complain about everything. They complain how Leia doesn't use her powers then they complain when she does. They complain the scene is unrealistic in a universe with laser swords, FTL travel, and magic wielding puppets. Star Wars has never been about realism.
I think it was "fine" too it's just that it looked, and felt, sort of silly.
I think it's a silly scene that goes overboard, like Indy running into the refrigerator before a nuke detonates, but both scenes suffered more from execution than concept (ie if they pulled back a bit and made it more subtle, to sell it to the audience better).
