The least disliked episode of Voyager - Season Seven

This is a game that we play every few years or so, and it's generally a lot of fun, providing a chance to mentally revisit those episodes you may not have thought about in a while. With that in mind, why not play again?

So, here's the game. The basic idea is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of the episodes for each season and you need to eliminate your least favorite or the one you deem the 'worst.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, leave at least 2 eliminations by other posters, and wait at least 6 hours after your last vote, before voting again.

No tactical voting! You cannot remove an episode because you feel they would threaten your preferred episode's chance to win.
Pretty simple. Enjoy! :bolian:

Unimatrix Zero part 2, because it's not even a full episode for Pete's sake, and I was never much a fan of it.

Hmm a few candidates for worst of the season, so I'll plump for Inside Man first. This was a very dull story, with unwanted Ferengi hijinks mixed in to make it more toothless. It was also the most gratuitous use of Troi of the three times she appeared.

I'll put an early end to Endgame. As if Unimatrix Zero metaphorically destroying the Borg wasn't bad enough, this one had to go and do it literally! Add to that the future parts being a lame rehash of All Good Things, and the lack of resolution to the series in general, and you have a serious letdown of a finale.

BTW, correct me if I'm wrong, but an episode has to be voted off the list, correct? It seems like in the season 1-6 threads, episodes are being removed by individual posters. What's up with that?

Edit: like this ^ besides. Endgame is the most rewatched Star Trek episode of any series, on Netflix.

That's only for the final round of each show, where it takes five votes to eliminate an episode. In the seasonal rounds, only one vote per episode is required.

I will show "Q2" the door. A terrible last appearance of a great character, Q. "DEATH WISH" would have been the best way to end his appearances.

Yes, myself, I still do not understand this result even if, this double episode offered some great moments (the face-to-face scenes between both Janeways & Janeway vs the Borg Queen)! :cardie:
I think there's a kind of pathos to watching a finale. With Caretaker it was like it began with them older or dead and as much as some viewers were critical of re-sets I was glad for it with Caretaker. I didn't want Tuvok languishing in a facility going mad. It was a relief when Admiral Janeway found 'our' crew again.

Ah, I see. It might be better if we eliminated...say half the episodes, then vote on the other half. Or maybe have 2 votes to eliminate an episode, then 5 for the final 5.

Or maybe not, but these threads are like 2 pages a piece.

Will vote Friendship One because it's just a plain dumb premise.

"Prophecy" is out, which I guess it really should have predicted. One -- gee whiz, in all of the vast reaches of the Delta Quadrant, we've once again run into one of the minuscule number of Alpha Quadrant travelers to end up in the quadrant. Two -- oh God, not more Klingon spiritual mumbo-jumbo! Three -- how many times must Torres learn to embrace her Klingon heritage before the lesson finally sticks?

Ahem, four actually.

Thanks for the suggestion, but the "one vote and out" style is the whole point of the game and why it's fun for a lot of people.

Dumping Nightingale. I like all the neat exterior shots but it is another lack luster Harry episode.

One of those tough calls between okay episodes with flaws and completely unmemorable episodes.

Guess I'll eliminate Lineage. It's a mediocre episode overall, but something about it doesn't seem to fit in the premise of the idealistic future to me. Seems out of character for the universe for her father to reject her for not being human enough.

Eliminating: Human Error. Because watching them chop carrots and try sexy with borg lines like : "It is perfection." is nauseating. If you want me to like these two, play off their chemistry in Scorpion 2, add some B plots of self reflection after Chakotay was violated by a former drone and then air Natural Law or something to start conversation and go from there.

Natural Law. The show's late interest in a Seven/Chakotay pairing is such a strange, misbegotten notion, I think it doomed this episode before it even started.

"SHATTERED" is now completely shattered. It was a kind of fun episode, and nice to see Seska again, but it was overall very forgettable to me.

Repression is a bit of a random Maquis episode exploring something that had pretty much been laid to rest in the first season.
