A Roseanne revival? Really??

What will they do about the Mark character? Recast? The idea for a revival in 2009 was that he died in Iraq.

They are sticking to the 'He died in war' plan.

Also the finale was one of the worst ever in the history of TV, which is why they are rightfully ignoring it.

I
Meh. The original never interested me, and I won't be watching this either.
I'm not big on sitcoms.

If you haven't already you should check out Qapla', it's an old Klingon sitcom about the regulars at a bar in the Old Quarter of First City on Qo'noS. The theme tune "Where Everybody Knows Your joH" is a classic.
It's a bit dated now, and the pacing is a bit slow, but it's a great show to sit down and drink a Warnog with.

^ I would put the US Life on Mars ending on the TATV level of suckitude. If not worse. (And I really liked the show itself. Just not the final scene...)

Then again...due to the very nature of LoM (either version, US or UK), what we see onscreen doesn't have to be, how do I put this, "real". Same goes for TATV, come to think of it, because it's all a holodeck program.

Are you complaining about the REALLY stupid Enterprise finale? I only saw it for the first time this year. I'm actually okay with the idea of it (Yeah I'm going to hell), but the death scene was so stupid and not needed I went "Glad this shit was canceled'.

It's no doubt a bad finale, but being glad it got cancelled is a bit harsh. And you call yourself a trekkie.

I'm a fan of good / decent sci-fi and that finale was neither. And the show on a whole was terrible with some of the worst acting and characters in Star Trek history. I still haven't watched the first 2 seasons of Enterprise, and Voyager is shit on a stick. Don't get me started on the mess that they call Discovery.

Also I never called myself a Trekkie. :P

The whole (living) gang is back. CBS and ABC finally agreed and David (Johnny Galecki(will be back.

That's cool. Johnny will definitely bring some viewership with him that might not have watched Roseanne otherwise. I wonder how much he'll appear?

I'd say for about a minute or two. They only have two weeks left in the filming, at most that's 2 full episodes. I think he will be in one dealing with his divorce and making Darlene a lesbian. (Completely guessing on that.)

My theory is the show will be set in the real reality from the final flashback but Dan from the lottery winning reality was able to use some of that money to create a spore drive that brings him to the final scene reality. Also the show will have rednecks that represent Trump Alt right types that will speak only in Redneck dialogue and they will use subtitles to help people understand it but they will also make the mistake of overdesigning the redneck look by having none of them have any teeth that ends up making it hard to understand anything they are saying.

Roseanne is veering towards being a Trump alt right type these days.

Yea and it's why I hope that they keep politics out of it. There's enough going on in the real world then to have it intrude on a show.

That's never going to happen. The show had politics in it before and will again. It's like all the people complaining the new Will and Grace was political, everything is political. The whole reason the show came back was because of a political ad they did.

I hate Trump more than anything, but I don't think perception that the democratic party ignored the plight of the middle class in middle America is a made up one. If they can make the show about the experience of families whose standard of living has gone down because the manufacturing jobs went overseas while they see stories on the news that make them feel like the bad guys, they can make it a great show.

Just long as they don't try to make other entire groups of people into the bad guys the way Trump does.

I know. But I'm dreading the bent it may have.

Good point. I hope that they don't do that either.
