She was most certainly the NX-01's XO, as she was the one who always took command in Archer's absence, and indeed Starfleet even officially made her the ship's captain when Archer was incapacitated in the alternate timeline in the episode Twilight.I tbought T'Pol was more of an advisor.

It's fully immersive VR - it feels real. The ship is shaking, you feel the smoke in your lungs, see it in the corridors; etc.
I also figure that it's a much longer test than the last 5 minutes we were shown.
