Looking ahead to season 7:
In my opinion, it's a very good season, with some stand out episodes. Brannon Braga has left as showrunner to create
Star Trek: Enterprise, and Kenneth Biller has stepped in to become the new head writer. He's been on the writing staff since season 1, writing the episode
Faces. He also wrote
Initiations,
Lifesigns,
Worst Case Scenario,
Extreme Risk, and many others. Brannon Braga is largely absent from Season 7. He only wrote "Human Error." He also contributed to the finale.
Joe Menosky(who is currently a writer on Star Trek: Discovery) left the Voyager team after season 6(

). His last
sole credit was season 6's "Muse." Bryan Fuller, who was very prominent the last few seasons, returns twice, writing the two parter's
Flesh and Blood part I & II, and
Workforce part I & II And lastly, a pair of young writer's named Mike Sussman and Phyllis Strong would get to shine a lot in season 7. They went on to write many(and many of the most highly praised) episodes of
Star Trek: Enterprise.
The season focuses a good deal on Tom & B'elanna, and in some unexpected ways, another crew member's love life. Also, the Doctor's continuing quest to be untrustworthy(ahem* I mean "become a person")
Some of my personal top picks from S7 are:
Imperfection- A crisis! A medical crisis!
Repression- not a very highly praised episode, but I've always loved it. Bring on the leather!
Critical Care- I don't know what to say without spoilers
Inside Man- Back to headquarters for some fun with Broccali, and a species that Trekkie's loathe. Good ep!
Body & Soul- It's good
Flesh and Blood- This mutinous crewmember really needs to get more than a slap on the wrist
Shattered- One of my absolute favorites of S7! Ever heard of a clip show? Yeah, this ain't that. You WILL like this.
Lineage- Deep character study, questioning ethics, or breaking them?
Prophecy- To Cling, or not to Cling.
The Void- It's like the Void(The first Void), but not really.
Workforce- It's good, and 2 hours long!
Human Error- It's always hard to watch someone descend into a bad habit, but very good story.
Author, Author- Top pick of the show!
Natural Law- Don't touch the natives! they dont wear deoderant
Homestead- You will cry
Renaissance Man- Adventure, suspense, and Mutiny again?!
Endgame- I don't care what anyone says, I adore the finale. It really feels like a movie. very cinematic.
Okay, that's a lot. There were only a few I didn't feel guilty about leaving out.
