ive read interviews from the producers and writers saying to give discovery a chance, and ride it out, and in the end it will lead into TOS aesthetically (meaning somehow, it will look exactly like how TOS did).

how exactly is this going to happen, you think?

will the federation decide that they really liked the 1960's america style and to model everything (starfleet included) after that style? (this doesnt sound too likely, personally)

or will a couple of characters time travel to the past, change a couple of things accidentally, and when they return to the future they see that everything looks very different and they are wondering just how the hell this happened? but WE, the audience, realize that they are stuck in the TOS aesthetics that we know and love? and then the show ends there? (im guessing that something like this will happen)

They never said it would lead completely into the 60s aesthetics.

One of the people involved with production said computer screens would get a little more colourful but that is about it.

By canon violations they mean the lore and story, not the looks/visuals.

Also consider that the events of ST:TMP took place a mere 2 1/2 years after the end of TOS, but the tech looks significantly more advanced. Why isn't that a canon violation as well? Should the movie crew have tried to emulate the 60s TV aesthetic as well?

In the season finale, Lorca accidentally grabs a gold turtleneck out of his closet and wears that on the bridge instead of his uniform. When Saru asks why he forgot his uniform, Lorca bluffs that it is the new Starfleet uniform, and because he's a force of nature, he ends up bluffing the whole fleet into switching over to colorful turtlenecks.

nope, not regularly. but i can also see mingling with the timeline in the past would change stuff in the present, thereby having the time travelers who return to the present pretty much stepping into an alternate reality

because they explained the klingon ridges in those enterprise episodes in season 4, and they established that the 60's TOS aesthetic is canon in "relics" (TNG), "trials and tribble-lations (DS9), "in a mirror darkly" (ENT), and "these are the voyages" (ENT)

You're proceeding under a false assumption. No one said the show will end up looking like TOS by the end. This show is a reimagining of Star Trek at best, and a total reboot at worst. Not to mention that there's no inherent reason why the show needs to look like TOS.

i dont mind a reimagining if they gave an in-universe explanation for it at some point during the series. the kelvin-timeline movies are a reimagining but they gave the explanation that nero's time travel changed the prime timeline.

dont get me wrong, i still enjoy the show. im not dissing on it
