Yea I'm wary too as I'd have to buy a tv to use it with as well. There are quite a few games I'm interested in, but I can wait.

Yeah, people make the mistake of thinking the Switch is a PS4 or XB1 replacement, and it's not. It is its own thing.
That said, between my 3DS and my GPD Win (and my Vita, sometimes), I have my mobile gaming needs covered. And for big screen gaming, I use my PC.
I'm sure I'll get a Switch at some point, though. Maybe after a price cut or an upgraded revision or something. Either way, once it has a more robust library.
yep, I reckon for a lot of people critical mass will be reached now with the release of Odyssey - if my entertainment budget was entirely unlimited, I'd definitely jump in now - alas, other venues (PC upgrade, Xbox One X, secondary UHD TV, etc) are more "pressing" right now

Same. Just upgraded my main PC subsystem (CPU/mobo) and that was more or less the cost of a Switch! That'll have to do me for a while.
This is where I'm at right now. Currently watching Vinesauce stream Mario Odyssey and it's damn tempting to run out and cash in my $400 for a Switch and Mario tomorrow.
What I don't understand is there is a Mario bundle that cost $380. But isn't the Switch $300 and Mario $60? So what is the extra $20 for?
Some extra pack-in like an SD card? Iunno?

Remember the good old days when a bundle would be CHEAPER than if bought separately? I have never bought a downloaded game, it's pointless. Mario will have a resell value of like $40+ for the next two year.

As long as people keep buying physical I have hope. More so because Nintendo still sucks when it comes to physical games and accounts.
Don't forget the internet, as long as that is not up to speed all over the world physical will be here to stay...

Not if the consoles are region-locked, you can't. And if nobody is selling physical copies, you are out of luck.
The Switch isn't locked, and as Rincewiend pointed out that as long as some part doesn't have decent internet then there will be physical games. I mean there are still records, they are making a comeback.

Another reason why physical will stick around is pricing of games...
Very often buying the physical copy of a game can save up to €/$10 or more compared to the digital version(on EU PSN atleast)...
