Discovery Renewed for Season 2

Well Orville fans excuse for a season 2 is that PBS put too many eggs on one basket, not because discovery is popular. The alt right is really rooting for Orville to be more successful than discovery.

You really need to peak out and get a glimpse of the real world. What you just posted is non-sense.

Well Klingons in discovery are portray as Trump and his supporters.

There's more ISIS in the Klingons than anything else. Me and my wife were just talking about it this morning.

CBS All Access definitely needs to fix their technical issues. I watched Sunday and had buffering issues and finally got booted out of the show - having to restart it and then rewatch the damned commercials before I could get it back to where I had been watching. Plus - quality was lacking this week (picture that is).

I emailed them right when the episode was streaming and told them that I'm paying $10.00/month and can't even watch it because of it freezing up. I've been watching on my iPad and this was the first time I had issues, I finally had to watch it via the website on my Laptop. I finally got a reply from them yesterday:

"Thank you for contacting CBS All Access

Sorry for the delay in response, if you are still getting any errors or issues during streaming please reply back with any error messages or codes you may have noticed during the streaming attempt. Also you can check for any recent updates on the app or on the device ,In most cases the updates on all devices should update automatically but in some situation you have to manually go in and update any available updates when available.

We have also cleared the video cache from our system to the app which usually resolves any video playback issues, which if you can force close the app and reopen to fully apply the changes, if you still are having technical issues please feel free to reply back or contact us directly.

Please feel free to contact us directly by phone at 888-274-5343 M- Sun. 8:00 Am - 11:59 Pm

no, i think a better comparison would be America in an isolationist mindset which has happened on more than one occasion in the last hundred years or so.

I think the best interperation would be an alien warrior society divided into 23 houses and fighting amongst themselves, with a unifying philosophy of war against the Federation.

Ugh... I like this, but also don't. So here we have a couple problems:

1) Deflection: "reply back with error messages". Everyone's complaining about dropped streams, not a single issue with "error messages". It's a typical deflection ploy of Tier One call center droids who have the technical capacity of Stammet's shrooms, on par with other such useful old chestnuts like "Is it plugged in?"

2) "Blame the victim" refrain with the good old "check for any recent updates" trope, like all their users are too stupid to remember to update the latest version of their crappy software, which introcuces more new bugs than it fixes with each new deployment.

So, in short, great show, CBS, but otherwise fuck you with your dodgy streaming "service". Leave that shit to professionals like Netflix, Hulu or Amazon, whose core business model focuses on reliable technology. CBS should stick to traditional broadcasting and stay the fuck out of digital streaming.

Agreed. Starfleet Marines =most shit fanwank EVAR

Eh. "Starship Troopers" isn't the best comparison. They weren't Marines, per se. "Space Above And Beyond" is a better comparison and shows that you can actually do something like that fairly well. But it does have a limited audience potential.

Besides, Starfleet isn't military...

I've never understood that thinking at all. They have rank. They have ships of the line with traditional naval class categorisation (heavy cruisers, etc.). So...whence comes this idea that they are not a military?

The best way to look at them is that they are an interesting hybrid of a navy, coast guard, and a NOAA-like organisation that focuses on exploration. Each of those roles are dominant during certain periods and times but they're all there. When Pike in "Star Trek" went off on saying Starfleet was a "peacekeeping armada" I winced. When Scotty gave his speech about Starfleet not being a military in "STID" I was completely baffled. If you've got anti-ship weapons (heavy phasers and, especially, photon torpedoes) on a ship that is classified as a heavy cruiser...what else do you think it is?

If a "not-military" organisation acts like a military organisation, then the distinction is meaningless.

Oh please don't do this......

By all that's decent and noble in this life, don't go there

Sorry mods for double posting, but can't you watch it on Netlifx over there?

Funny how two threads in the last couple of days that should be exclusively about Discovery, have Discovery fans trying to bait fans of The Orville.
Hmm...maybe it's because the Orville crowd has been a pain in the ass all along? I started watching Orville when it aired, but because of it's annoying die-hard fans, coupled with their ripping off of TNG and the terrible episode 3, I've stopped watching it.

I quit caring what other people thought about something I liked when I was 12.

Well Klingons in discovery are portray as Trump and his supporters. So they hate it and are banking on Orville which is produce by the trump supporting Fox to win over Discovery. Kind of ironic and Seth can’t do anything about it even if he notice it.
Fox News Channel and Fox Broadcasting Company are not the same thing. You're confusing them.
