Yep. And this morning ran into another one (one I'm familiar with)... not being able to access the sound bar in order to fix 'the audio service is not start' glitch (it was actually on). So I had to reboot to fix both issues.
This is why I refuse to use that crap.. every "version" is actually almost a total new OS, not like the usual point releases of Linux but really a totally new OS, now M$ likes to shove it onto your machine and then somehow make all your installed programs work and behave like nothing happened and they think that's going to fly.. it's like shoving a new airplane between two existing wings.. besides that, M$ needs two years at least to make an OS reliable enough to use it which it never gets so Win 10 is in a perpetual state of alpha/beta version, add all the spying and guess why I am NOT going to let it near my machines.
Switching to Linux needed some time and some getting used to and it isn't perfect but it DOES work and gives peace of mind, Mint 18.x will be supported until 2021, doesn't matter if you stick to 18.0 or 18.1/2/3 you'll be set until 2021 and they at least tell you that if you do upgrade to the next version you will have to reinstall from scratch again which is the best way to install a new OS, hassle? Maybe, better? DEFINATELY!

I'm loving the hell out of Linux Mint 18.2. I had switched over from Windows 10, having become much too tired to deal with Microsoft's invasiveness and desire to monetize every action I take on my own PC. Granted, I have to miss out on a few great games (WINE won't work at all with them), but it's a small price to pay for privacy, stability, and peace of mind. If there's one overarching reason to stay on Mint, though, it is that insane file transfer speed. On Windows 10, the best I could do was 35 MB/s, with boosts to 50 MB/s every so often. On Mint, my initial transfer speed was 140 - 190 MB/s. I transferred 300GB of backup data in about 25 minutes, compared to the 5 hours it would take on Windows.Point releases are coming in through the update manager without a hitch, so 18.3 will be installing without any problems, as for 19.xx, while you have tools to upgrade I personally first install a new version on a test machine and if it not implodes I'll install it on the main machine etc, it takes maybe 2 hours for me to set everything up and copy all my files.
So far 18.xx has been great, one recalcitrant machine has been a bit troublesome but all in all it has been again better than 17.xx which was better than 15.xx etc etc, it keeps improving.
