Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

Agreed. Those are the best versions of the refit nacelle design I think they've ever made. I'm sure the XL version will be a step up from the first mini. I just hope the paint job is based on the original TMP pearlescent with green engineering areas, although it's more likely to be ILM blue.

I order the avantine a folder and the oversized NX01 last week. The XL NX01 arrived without the other stuff today. I wasn’t a huge fan of the XL enterprise E but the NX01 is fantastic. I absolutly love it. Again very solidly built and the detail
Is excellent. I’m love these models

I love the Big E, so your praise the the XL NX-01 makes me look forward to getting mine even more.

The NX-01 issue in the regular subscription is one of the maybe best 5 models in all. Wonder whether the “NXL” can be as good.

Has everyone gotten their Titan yet? I ordered mine through my comic store’s catalog, where it was listed before it went “shop exclusive,” but haven’t gotten it yet, and I’m trying to decide whether or not to order it off the site, or wait.

I’m surprised not everyone has it yet?

Mines on order through Forbidden Planet here in Dublin, talking to one of the staff, they order there stock through Easons and not Forbidden Planet in London as it is cheaper that way. They're okay with the regular issues, but the specials, not so much.

I got mine last month fairly quickly but no magazine. That didn't arrive until two weeks ago. I ordered the Aventine right after it became available again on the shop site and it just arrived with the magazine a couple days ago. Their provisioning is dodgy and unreliable at best, but shop exclusives do eventually get delivered. Just a very mixed bag as to when.

Got the shuttle set today. Good quality. I love the Argo!
Most fittingly, my ex-partner sent me some more if my old big ships over from Germany (which I couldn’t bring along when I moved), including the 2002 Enterprise-E and Playmates’ Goddard.

To top it off, ordered Defiant (shades of green), XL NX-01, and another New Orleans with the 20% Spooktacular discount you get for £75+ spending. You can’t enter any promo code but it applies the Halloween discount automatically.

Update:
Springfield-class USS Chekov (#110) and Proton rocket ship (#110) just delivered!

111: top heavy due to body mainly metal, including rear stabiliser fins. Lower “jaw” and “belly” plastic, including the “booster” nacelles and front antenna. Colouring: darkened windows on top. Sigil left and right. A pair of parallel stylish lines across entire (plastic) lower hull - didn’t know it was there.

110: If you like the Ahwahnee model, then the Chekov is for you, too. Good solution to the half-open plastic pod on the original: closes here - the click-on point has become a shuttlebay. Top saucer and top of its rear is metal. I can’t tell for the pod but most likely plastic. Nacelles like Ahwahnee model but larger.
The RCS thrusters on the saucer are not painted on, but are physical knobs on the mold!
The suspended engineering hull is plastic.
Nitpick: saucer and engineering hull are not parallel when seen from the side. On the CGI in the magazine, they are. If you hold the saucer perfectly horizontal, the dish casts a downward glance. If you hold the engineering hull horizontally, the saucer snobbishly raises its nose.

Trivia:
The Springfield magazine officially names the USS Curry’s class the Curry class. It also includes an early design concept for humanoid Borg by Rick Sternbach.

Side notes:
I wonder whether there’s a USS Simpson of the Springfield class somewhere out there?
Btw, I’m going to get myself a second Chekov and pry the engineering hull off to see how the design comes across then. There was a time when it was not clear that it had secondary hull.

My Chekov arrived today too, as did captain proton’s ship but the less said about that the better. I really didn’t know much about the Chekov before it arrived and I personally haven’t been that bothered by the wolf 359 ships in the past (not sure why as I know they’re very popular with most fans) but I absolutly love it. Having never really been that obsessed with different classes of federation ship, I had no idea that the engineering section was on two struts below the saucer. I just assumed it was just connected to the saucer in a more conventional way. Being as massive fan of the show I love how these ships and magazines tell me things I’ve never known before which is really nice, it means that I can look out for new things when watching an episodes for the twentieth time.

I gotta say that I'm still a little miffed that those of us in Canada don't have access to any of the online stores, let alone one of our own. I realize that going through the US site, for example, might boost the price of shipping, but I'd be willing to pay it, as long as it's not nuts.

From the pics on Facebook too, many have noticed the prices have increased for certain regions from #111, certainly in the UK from £10.99 to £12.99

Now they started out for a while at £9.99, so this is the second price increase. The extra pound I wasn't bothered about, but just seems odd why it's now jumped 2 rather than 1. I suppose there's not much I can do, but I guess as a cherry picker I may be sliiightly more picky about which ones I get.

I think to be fair too some of the other Eaglemoss models/magazine collections are already of similar price. I know the Marvel Movie (MCU) Figurine Collection and the Walking Dead ones have always been £12.99 each. And that's partially what put me off collecting them, although the primary reason being that the paintwork on them is awful, and the faces are laughably bad.
