Multiple mirror episodes this season!

Well we know their is a infinite number of universe's so we might just see a mirror universe that is kind of like the ones we saw on the old shows and not the exact one. I read that book years ago that showed the "TNG" crew in the mirror universe which if we want to, can be seen as just another universe much like the one we first saw on "TOS" only instead of humans becoming slaves they continued to have a evil empire. Perhaps the never had a visit by KIrk,McCoy,Scotty and Uhura or maybe they did and they were killed before being able to make a impact on Spock or maybe Spock was killed or maybe the Enterprise was on a different mission and the whole chain of events didn't even happen at all. Infinity means,Lots and Lots of different outcomes.

They could make her a descendent of Empress Sato.

But then that would make Prime Georgiou a descendant of Prime Sato.

It was explained in the novel, Mirror Mirror happened the same, Mirror Spock was killed before he could do anything.

You keep suggesting this "different Mirror Universe" idea, but really your idea is nothing different from "reboot". If it isn't THE Mirror Universe, I don't see the point.

I welcome any mirror episodes. Loved them on TOS,DS9 and especially ENT. Too bad we didn't get them for TNG & VOY. I wonder if they do one for Orville.

the people on collidervideo did a review of episode 4 and Robert Meyer Burnett theorized that Lorca is the mirror universe version of Lorca. and if that theory turned out to be true I wonder if the "prime" version is stuck in the Mirror universe or was killed by Mirror Lorca.

Well on some level it isn't but it does offer you a in-universe explanation for the changes plus if it is a different universe you can even make more changes that would really screw up the established canon if you felt like it was a good story. Plus I just love alternate universes and timelines. I like seeing the regular world turned upside down and seeing how characters might have lead different kinds of lives in these other worlds.

In my continuing HBO parallels series, I'll say this sounds like the Westworld twist where the audience didn't know at first that they were watching the past, but then caught on pretty well with fan theories.

...- No Saru. Instead they'll have somebody from the predator species from his homeworld

Provided he's played by Doug Jones, I am so on board for this.

I don't like what DS9 did with the Mirror Universe, and I am not of fan of Enterprise's take either (but at least it was inventive). Discovery needs to tell a compelling story with some kind of moral or meaning - I don't want to go "there" just to see some more "crazy" life in the Mirror Universe. Have something to say!

The MU on DS9 just turned into an excuse for the cast to show its acting range. DS9, VOY, and to a lesser extent ENT all did this - have the characters "possessed" or undergoing some sort of mental trauma to showcase that even though they were written very narrowly, they actually had incredible acting ranges man!

Oh, and TNG did this too with Brent Spiner, between giving him the Lore character, Dr. Soong, and all the "weird" episodes like Masks. I don't remember them really doing it for anyone else on the cast however.
