What would you want the plot of Star Trek 4 to be?

i think that notion has been throughly debated here and the verdict is:
O96Jj.gif

prolly.

I'd miss it if it was over. I was completely entertained by the three Abrams films. In the end, they will probably end up far more entertaining than Discovery.

i hope it's not over too, but star trek beyond isn't the worst place to see the story end. we got three pretty tight movies that work well together and can be their own thing. i can live with that.

i hope discovery and the kelvin timeline can coexist.

Something involving the M-5! (....this MAY have something to do with that movie script I wrote and stuck in the fanfic section).

I have a feeling this version of the film franchise is dead.
It would be really depressing it ends with beyond, especially when it did so little with the characters still and the enterprise was a relict for 99% of the movie... and we never saw her in her five years mission exploring new worlds, and we never really saw most of the ship and life in space.

Mirror Universe. If they want to include George Kirk (Chris Hemsworth) in the next movie, have it be a Mirror George who never died.

Title explains it all. I'm tired of the "bad guy wants revenge" plots. I was thinking something like the Doomsday machine, combined with the Guardian of Forever as a plot device to bring George Kirk back, as he's rumored to return. Dad Kirk and Son Kirk team up to stop the Doomsday Machine. Could be cool.

Should be called "Star Trek 14" not Star Trek 4, 4 came out in 1986.

The 1986 movie was Star Trek IV, in keeping with the TOS-film convention of using Roman numerals for all outings following TMP.

The nuTrek films have customarily been referred to using Arabic numerals (i.e., STID was 2, Beyond 3) since the announcement that the 2009 movie (Star Trek XI) would be getting a sequel featuring the same cast. For the overall sequence, the yet-to-be-confirmed Star Trek 4 would also be Star Trek XIV.

[/pedant hat] ;)

I want to see a time travel story involving Klingon intrigue, where NuKirk and Co. get sent back in time to the early 1960s and get caught up in the events leading up to President Kennedy's assassination, and then end up drawn into another time vortex where they end up giving fire to humans in the ancient past and are then remembered as the Titans of ancient mythology.
