Now that annoyed me somewhat. The Europa also changed a bit between the trailer she first appeared in and the final aired version

It seems to have been a relatively last-minute decision to go with the TMP-style markings. Doubly odd, since they started with FJ-style in the Comic-con trailer, then went TOS as they were nearing release, and finally went TMP in the end. I wonder if there were fights in the art department. Now that annoyed me somewhat.
Very interesting... New starship mentionned in DSC S01E03
USS Glenn NCC-1030 Same class as the Discovery
Interesting, as John Eaves originally said he was going to honor the namesake of that ship by
making the Glenn a Mercury class vessel. So I wonder if Crossfield was gonna be Mercury at that point of production?

Not to give it away, but one or two lines are said about Discovery being new. What's also interesting is that a sister ship has a neighboring registry, not a random one. Basically a first in onscreen Trek, even if a staple of fandom!
So the speculation can start on the exact registry of USS Crossfield now... NCC-1020? NCC-1000? A bit less likely to be NCC-937 or somesuch now.
Gonna see "Context" tonight, hopefully. What did they say to establish the hero ship as "new"? "She's brand new, yessir, brand new!"?
Timo Saloniemi
Looks like 1030 to me.The Glenn's registry is NCC-1040.
It's 1040, when she's scuttled, the saucer it lit up momentarily enough to read it.
I think it'd be kinda cool to come into contact with the USS constellation at some point.
