Memory Alpha lists it as 1030 and that is what I recall as well.
The federation doesn’t have any battleships or dreadnoughts in canon
Yeah, no. I’m not taking comm chatter that you can hardly hear (and indeed can’t hear in the directors cut) as canon.
Gabe Koerner's USS Enterprise would be a good fit for the Discoveryverse.

I like this idea, actually. Makes perfect sense. In fact, it smacks also of when I was reading all I could about Titanic and her sister ships. Olympic was the first launched, while the keel of both Titanic and Gigantic (later Britannic) were laid. As Olympic sailed, improvements were noted and passed along to the new ships being built. My guess would be the class is new. If we can rush build multi-billion dollar ships into service in todays world in the matter of a few years I'm sure Starfleet can do the same in an equal or lesser time considering multiple build sites, near infinite resources, and large amounts of manpower. I equate the Crossfield-Class to the modern Seawolf Submarine Class in some aspects. The USS Seawolf and the USS Jimmy Carter are of the same class of ship but one is just an attack boat and the other is a mission-specialized boat with many extra and advanced features including even its length. My suspicion is that Starfleet caught onto the mycelium research of Stamets and Strall who were tasked with providing a thesis on the use of the Mycelial Network for a new means of FTL travel. During the time frame of them producing this Starfleet Research thesis, Starfleet R&D was prepping and laying the keel for a new class of ship to test bed this new means of travel ala new science vessels that only need be produced in limited number for the mission role. The USS Crossfield is the first of its class with no "Spore Drive" capability. Its sole purpose is to test the base systems needed for ship functionality ala Warp, Impulse, Structural Integrity, Rotation Hardware, New Computer, Etc. During her commissioning phase the keel of the USS Glenn and USS Discovery are laid. As the USS Crossfield conducts her space trials any noted changes and additional features are then brought onto the Glenn and Discovery builds that will actually house the new "Spore Drives". Happening laterally to the builds Stamets and Strall complete their thesis and build outlines and the new drive systems are built into the USS Glenn and USS Discovery during the final building phase of both ships hence why they are sister ships of the class and the USS Crossfield is merely the first since it is not identical in full design or feature. The USS Crossfield is then either sent to duty as a standard science vessel within the fleet, scrapped, or kept as a continued mule for new baseline technology for potentially future class builds. At this point the USS Glenn is launched first followed very closely by the USS Discovery. Both ships fully outfitted with the new "Spore Drive" ready for space trials and then full testing of the new system on board. Hence why the breakthroughs on the USS Glenn are such a big deal and why the Discovery is further behind in its testing as both vessels are still fairly new in the field. This in my mind is the most sound and logical reason why one the Glenn and Discovery are sisters and two why we have no mention of the Crossfield. Hopefully you enjoy my idea![]()

One wrinkle is that after Titanic sank, improvements were then made to Olympic and Britannic, such as higher walls for the watertight bulkheads, higher capacity lifeboat davits, etc.
