Theories that were Bunk

What are some of your favorite "Star Trek Discovery" theories that have already been debunked?

I am still cringing at all the people who thought the Klingons had a "sarcophagus ship" of some sort and that T'whatshisname and his people were Klingons from thousands of years ago or whatever.

What else is there....?

Um... the concept drawing for the Klingon ship actually SAID sarcophagus ship on it, and the ship in the episode had coffins all over it - some of which contained remains that were over a thousand years old. Point being that this was less debunked and more just slightly wrong in some details.

Granted...but it wasn't a minor detail. Fans were theorizing that the physical appearance of the Klingons was due to them being from thousands of years in the past.

And that was incorrect.

That Burnham is transgender. Actually I've seen a few people still spouting that - the sort of people who whine about it being PC, anti-Trump and the like.

Funny thing is- I haven't seen anything I'd consider "PC" or "anti-Trump" yet. Like...even if I squint I can't find it.

I'm wondering if the "Section 31" theory will fall shortly.
Considering it's built around the fact that the Discovery has the number 31 in its registry, it's really not much of a theory. Indeed, why would a top secret clandestine and illegal criminal organization advertise their ownership of something in that way.

If the seasons ends without any mention of Section 31 at all expect a bunch of "why is there a 31 in the registry if it's not a Section 31 ship? WTF was the point to that?" posts being made.

I shall look forward to that.

In Agents of SHIELD, Hydra has their logo on literally everything they own... I always thought that was hilarious.
